Great starter setup
I got this set on sale for $20 out of season, which is a fantastic deal. Would have been happy to pay a bit more if the light fixture was 2-4 bulbs instead of one tube. The light is too narrow to be an ideal light source for anything other than small batch seed starting but it works well. Seedlings are happy. Would need at least a two bulb setup for long term growth for more than a single narrow planter, but plan to re-use the frame with a wider light for a herb garden. Frame is reasonably sturdy and easy to assemble. The nylon cord setup is easy to adjust quickly, move out of way for watering, and angle light to account for one planter being taller than the one next to it.

A good support for the home grower.
This is a great stand at an attractive price. When I ordered mine, I thought I read a notice that it was used but like new, and that describes well what I received. Though there was minor residue on parts, it is indeed in like new functional condition. A pair of gloves were included for use during setup which I didn't used. But, given the construction, there might be a few metal spurs here or there that could jab. The instructions on mine also gave a 3 kg (6.6 lbs) load limit. That seems to be extremely conservative, though if you were planning on hanging a heavy weigh in the center, it would be best to reinforce it with a 1x2x4 piece of wood strapped on to give additional support. It was not an issue for me. I have attached 2 Feida brand 130W LED lights (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08G7Y1STZ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1) daisy-chained together for light which works great. I'm also using a quantum par meter (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BTYW7SDP?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title) to adjust lighting, taking care that sufficient light is reaching the corners and far sides. This is a setup that works very well for me, so I'm happy. The distance between the two vertical supports is about 48 inches though they could be spread out to 50 inches easily. The distance from the surface to the top support is about 45 inches. If you are hanging a long grow light tube, then the included pully system does work fine, but after raising to the desired height, push up on the catch so that the rope holds at that height. I recommend the product for home use but for a commercial setup, something more robust would be better.

Decently sturdy, folds up compactly for storage, but two shortcomings
This is a pretty decent light holder considering the price. It's lightweight, but the all metal construction provides for good stability. It comes fully assembled, and can be easily folded up for storage when it's not needed. There are two shortcomings. The base of the legs has a hard, smooth plastic insert for a foot. It doesn't provide any grip so, if the frame gets nudged, the whole thing can move. I applied some non-slip material at the base of each leg which significantly helped improve stability. The second shortcoming is the rope lock. The rope itself is fine for holding a 48 inch dual bulb fixture, but the lock is a cheap plastic fitting that doesn't grip well. I use it in combo with a clamp to ensure that the fixture doesn't move when the plastic lock fails to grip (which is a common occurrence).Even with the shortcomings it's a decent stand considering the price, and the ability to fold it up for storage without needing any tools or disassembly is a major plus. Four stars.

Works better than expected! Easy to put together, lightweight, and still sturdy. Best value for the price.
My wife has been using this for about a week now. She has desert plants (succulents, bells of fire [tecoma], etc.) and the temp is going down to about 30 degrees at night now. The plants got a little frost bit after leaving them out one night when the temp dropped. She had to bring them inside, but since we don't get enough sunlight indoors, she bought this setup to keep them growing throughout the colder months. She did a lot of research and this was the best buy for the price, since it includes 2 T5 flourescent lights ($15 each alone), which she needed for the desert plants. They are doing very well. Bougainvillea and rose are both recuperating with A LOT of new growth after the frost (rose also had spider mites, but it's happy now!). Tecoma has a nice number of blossoms on it. The product is sturdier than we anticipated and I have to say, the two bulb reflector is perfect. The option to have the stand was a lifesaver because we rent and didn't want to install the hanging lamp. This product works well and was easy to put together. She is happy, and we are definitely pleasantly surprised after reading these reviews. I think it's a great setup and I highly recommend for indoor plant growing.

Great, Affordable Grow Light!
This is a great grow light! I was in need of a grow light because my indoor seedlings were becoming too leggy due to lack of light. I ordered one and received it within a couple of days via Prime. It was quick and easy to assemble. Another review mentioned that it was very sturdy, and it is. The leggy seedlings were saved and are now growing very happily. Loved it so much I purchased another grow light so I can start even more seeds indoors. Unfortunately, one of the connectors arrived broken. Instead of having to return the entire item, I was able to contact the seller and provide pictures of the broken piece, which they immediately sent a replacement for. Great customer service! I appreciate actual photos of items, so am providing a couple of my own. I would highly recommend this light for the quality and price.

Perfect solution, and got stuff out of my way, too!
When I first considering buying this grow light stand, I was planning to put it on top of my bathroom vanity, straddling the sink, because I didn't think I had anywhere else to grow indoor plants. But then, when it came, I pulled out the 48" plastic table that's been folded up in a corner, in my way, and LO! the stand fits perfectly over the table! But, still, I had no place to put it...I thought. But it fits between my bed and the window beside my "desk" (recliner where I work), and I put it on a smart plug to automatically turn the lights on and off via Smart Life/IFTTT. I splurged on a five-pack of heavy-duty 1020 trays and domes (and later picked up 5x5 microgreens trays, too, I was so excited) and set up a grow station for seed starting, microgreens, and baby greens.FOLLOW THIS SEQUENCE and you'll have NO problem with assembly all by yourself:Open the box and immediately plug in the LED light to be sure it works. If it doesn't, then it will be a lot easier to box up the product for return. Go get a RUBBER MALLET (trust me, this is IMPORTANT) and a glass of hot water to soak any loose plastic connectors in for five minutes to soften them. Then pull out two short base "foot" portions, lay the T connector between them so you can visualize what you are doing, then pound each onto the T connector with the mallet to make one of the feet; repeat for the other foot. Some of the plastic may shave off the T connector, but the feet will be super sturdy. Next, check the ease of fit for the long poles into the pieces you just assembled and also the black plastic crossbar connectors; mine came with them already on the top crossbar. Assemble the long (leg) poles onto whichever piece(s) that will be the hardest fit so you can pound them in with the mallet. I put my legs onto the feet first, and then the top crossbar slid right on easily without the mallet. Done! Took me five minutes or less. I cable-tied the light cord to the back of a leg for a tidy look; do this loosely so you can still raise and lower the light. The only negative to my setup is that the LED strip shines into my TV screen at night, but I solved that by putting one of two 48x36 plastic trifold presentation boards I've had lying around over the top. I plan to cut the boards to a 24" height (length across the stand) and put space blanket material on the inside to serve as reflectors to boost the light even more. I couldn't be happier with this product and my new setup!(By the way, the photos show the LED light at its highest positioning. It can, of course, be lowered over the plants.)

Review Update: Not worth my money 1st review> Super easy to put together
2nd Edit: having no other option but to use what i had already paid for, I started using this again for 2019, it made it a month then completely stopped working. Burnt out 3 lightbulbs due to some sort of short or something. This thing is a waste of money.Edited to add:I had this set up going for 4 months, first to grow some lettuce indoors, which failed miserably. Then I began using it for my seedlings to prepare for outdoor planting. This product does not work as I had hoped. Even completely wrapped in car visors, my seedlings were not receiving enough enough light to grow. I had better luck putting them on a table in front of my window. This DOES NOT cast light very well, light is very centralized and you will have to have this right on top of your plants in order for it to have any chance of working. If you have multi sized plants the smaller ones will not benefit.Overall, I am very disappointed with the performance of this product and wish I had kept with my plan to return it.First review based on assembly:Super easy to put together, I am experimenting with lettuce and spinach indoors since I am in zone 6b. The main use will be early next year when we start our seedlings for our outdoor garden.I used two car visors from the dollar store to help with the reflection and will probably put one in front as well just to keep all the light contained.Overall, great product, time will tell how the bulb will work

Easy to assemble.
It does what it's supposed to do. It's lightweight & only took one minute to set it up. Anyone can use this light stand.

Great grow light!
Easy assembly. Small footprint. Simple system to change height instantly. Works well with my wifi plug for timed on/off. Generates a little heat, bit that's not a problem for seedling starts. Reliable. No issues what so ever.
User
Great Grow light system!
Easy set up and adjustability as plants grow.

Great grow light
This is a little powerhouse. The lights are very effective without having to be super close to my seedlings. The bulb is cool to touch and everything I have grown under it, loves it. I love the ability to adjust the height with a simple pull of the cord. Great price too. I am very pleased with this.

Good strong frame
The latching device controlling the height of the lights is very flimsy
