I purchased this workbook for my four-year-old grandson, who was having some difficulty with his fine motor skills. I hoped the cutting and pasting activities would help—and they truly have! I’ve noticed improvement in his hand-eye coordination, but the best part is how much he enjoys using it. He comes to me asking to work in his book, so learning never feels forced. It has been a fun and valuable learning tool, and I highly recommend it!

Perfect activity for preschoolers

I am a former educator and homeschooling my preschooler this year. I purchased this book to get him accustomed to holding scissors and cutting. We both really enjoyed this activity book and it has been one of our favorites of the many we have ordered! We just finished the book. My 3 year old LOVED it and wanted to do a couple pages a day. I loved that the pages were perforated, full color, and had some other type of educational skill that tied into each page, like counting, etc., so they are learning other academic skills in addition to cutting. The cutting activities were simple enough that my 3 year old could do it himself with instruction and then minimal supervision from me. The sticker pages in the back were a fun bonus! Highly recommend for 3-4 year olds.

This book motivated my (apprehensive) 3.5 year old to learn to use scissors. I purchased other scissor practice booklets, but they seemed a bit daunting for a beginner. I wanted something that was short and sweet and that she could be successful at to give her more confidence. This activity book was it. I noticed improvements in her skills with each activity. She is engaged by the activities and loves picking out a sticker after she finishes. It has introduced her to counting money, reading analogue clocks, and basic math. I have nothing but good things to say about it!

Good practice with scissor skills for early learners. Best to remove page from workbook when working on cutting out shapes. Pasting is another skill for early learners. Gives kids a sense of accomplishment.

I am primarily a stay at home mom and was looking for new preschool material for my 3 1/2yr old son. He enjoys using scissors so I thought I would give this book a shot. He LOVES this book! Each page has objects to cut out and paste into the appropriate boxes. There is practice in the book on puzzles, matching colors, categories of animals, counting, order sequencing, numbers, etc. There were a couple of pages (such as one with basic addition problems, and another with telling time on a clock), that is more into the 5 year old category of learning that my son didn't quite understand. But!! The majority of the book had items that my son could understand fully, or start to grasp well for his age. This book worked especially well because he was able to practice his fine motor skill of cutting with scissors as he is a very hands on, while at the same time learning mental concepts (which kept him extra focused). He got a bit addicted to the book and went through the whole thing within two weeks. Even if some of the concepts are a bit above the skill of your 3 year old, I would still highly recommend this book as the majority of the pages are applicable, and the little ones still enjoy cutting out the shapes for the harder pages as fine motor skill practice. It is an awesome book for a VERY cheap price. I like too that this product is actually MADE in the USA. There is also an online code that can be plugged in for an additional five free pages to print out.

Loved it

We've purchased at least 4 different cutting and pasting workbooks for our 4 YO (including ones like the Carson Dellosa one, and the Modern Kid Press one), and this is by far the best one of all of them. It has the most activities, and they're actually useful. So instead of endless pages of variations on cut along this line, there are activities where your child will cut out bracelets, or puzzle pieces, or fake food, or pieces for making a paper bag puppet. The book starts off simple, and much like other similar workbooks, with a few of those cut along these lines pages, but it does get more complicated as it goes on. Halfway through, the focus switches to pasting, and the workbook instructions suggest having the adult cut everything out and the child pastes. Well, I wasn't having any of that, so I told my kid she was supposed to cut everything out herself, which she did happily. The pieces in the second half of the book are much more challenging to cut, but that's a bonus for me, since it means she's busier for longer. The pasting activities are things like, paste all these animals into the fish tank, or paste these cars into the parking spaces. The workbook also has all perforated pages, so they're very easy to tear out, and the instructions are also perforated, so you can tear those off and just give your kid the page to cut around. All in all, this is a GREAT workbook that I recommend to everyone.
