I wasn’t holding out much hope but felt it would be worth a try.The powder is very fine and mixes easily into hot and cold drinks, as well as things like kefir and yoghurt. To me it tastes absolutely revolting, it has a definite meaty and pungent sort of flavour and I can taste it in coffee, tea, matcha, milk. The only thing I can’t taste it in is in savoury soups, as the meatiness tastes natural in this context. My go to is a spoon of miso paste in hot water, some wakame seaweed and a scoop of collagen. I know I have a strong sense of taste so the flavour may not be so strong for other people. For reference, I am someone who can taste sweeteners and can tell exactly what types of herbs and spices are in a meal.Despite the taste, I am still giving this product 5 stars because it has been amazing for my joints! I did not expect it to work so well. I noticed a reduction in pain after 2-3 weeks, taking one scoop a day. I just went on holiday and didn’t take it for about 5 days, and all my pains came back, so I genuinely believe this is working well for me. I started with type 2, specifically for joints and bones, but it was available in pills form only, and it did not really work for me, so I ended up using type 3 in powder form, instead, for a long time Lately, I decided to chanage from type 3 only to multi-type collagen to get the benefits of other types of collagen too. After a lot of research on what's suitable and also available at a reasonable price I chose Revive since I liked the science behind it. I also like the fact that it is independently lab-tested for safety and purity.The powder itself, is very fine and has no particular smell and mixed with water only it has a bit of an unpleasants taste. There is no particular taste when mixed with other drinks or food. I find it easy to use as it blends in nicely in my coffee or in smoothies. I sometimes even mix it with my eletrolytes drinks with no clumping issues. The 400 grams container is supposed to last for 28 days with a recommended use of 2 scoops a day; a scoop is included in the tub. It doesn't really look or taste any different to the type 3 only I used before, and I have not experienced any negative side effects. I will not comment on potential joint health or pain releif effects, as this is something highly subjective. In general though, although I do beleive in collagen supplements, I also think that a long term usage is a pre-requisite for experiencing any real, identifiable benefits. I've been using the Revive collagen powder for about three months now, and, unless something proven to be better comes along at the same similar price, I'm sticking with it.
