the filter fits perfectly in the small (51mm tapered) passive filter basket of my espresso maker, and works to prevent the joint ache that afflicts some people drinking unfiltered coffee. the flow rate is very good (does not affect crema appreciably), and the filter remains unbroken. it will disintegrate if washed though. Some could be concerned about whether they're food safe - in that case, best to get coffee filters and cut to size.
