1-1/4 Inch SDS-Plus 12.5 Amp Heavy Duty Rotary Hammer Drill

While working as the property manager for our neighborhood HOA, it fell on me to repair the security fence around our swimming pool. Several of the chainlink fence posts had rotted out flush with the concrete. Post anchors were the perfect solution, but each required four holes to be drilled into the concrete. A local pawn shop wanted $400 for a beat-up and filthy Hilti hammer drill, but I bought this Eneacro new for a fraction of the price. It did the job well and we wrote it off as part of the repair cost since I never expected to need it again. Three years later and I needed to replace the posts under my deck. There were eight posts and each post base required four holes drilled into the existing concrete piers for anchors. I dug out the Eneacro and it worked flawlessly, with each hole taking 20-30 seconds. The packaging and extras are also very thoughtful. Molded case, comes with some SDS Plus drill bits and chisels to get you started, an extra set of armature brushes, grease for the hammer mechanism, and a tool to remove the grease cap (similar to an angle grinder wrench). I've only used mine twice in three years but it seems to be a quite well-made and powerful tool. I can't speak to the longevity, especially in professional applications where it will be used daily, but the extra set of brushes suggests that the manufacturer expects it to last for quite a long time. Very impressive for the money.

I was skeptical before buying this beast, but I’m not sorry now. This thing has some serious power and it cut through a whole bunch of 3/4” holes into concrete like nothing. It has a big profile and some weight to it but it runs smooth and packs a punch! Everything about this tool seems like quality including the hard case. Only thing it doesn’t have is a depth gauge but no big deal. We’ll see how it holds up but definitely pleased with how it’s performed so far. For the price, can’t beat it. Thanks!

Look, it's a not-$500 drill at a not-$500 price. IMO you get more than you pay for - it generally works well, comes with a good set of accessories, and does the job. It's not perfect. I sometimes struggle to get it to "hammer" - it'll just spin. But if you jiggle it a bit to get it to go, with the right bit it'll sink a 5/8"x6" hole in concrete in about 10 seconds with little effort, which is pretty good. If you're a pro contractor I'd probably buy something better. But if you're a DIYer trying to avoid calling a pro for a job out of the range of a standard hand-held tool this is really nice to have. It'll tackle a surprising amount of work for something so cheap.

Awesome drill. Way better than my smaller one. It does fast work.

I'm old so to me it's a little bit heavy. But it does a very good job chipping up tile. I would buy it again for sure

Outstanding product for demo-ing kitchen and bathroom floor tile. I am glad I did not go with the heavier models because I could operate it with one hand and hold a Shop-Vac wand in the other hand to keep the dust down. A co-worker brought a much heavier and larger Milwaukee unit and we stopped using it because it was slower and much less effective. (Lesson Learned: I bought multiple chisels in a variety of widths. Surprisingly, the narrow 1" chisel that came with the unit was faster than the 3", 4", 5" widths I bought separately. The hammer impact was spread across too wide of an area on the wider chisels.)

Zipped right through 8" block for a dryer vent with a 4" bit. Heavy duty drill. Nice case and bits as a bonus.

I’ve been using this hammer drill to insert rebar into old concrete for a addition I’m building and so far it’s performed with out fault just drills the concrete with ease The hammer part for breaking concrete works to a fashion with slabs of 2” concrete but I would think it would break up a entire concrete footing

So I waited a couple months before making this review, I wanted to give it an honest try first. I've used it about 15 or so times for various things like drilling holes for concrete anchors, using it as a small jackhammer for trimming of parts of boulders for a retaining wall, and a couple other odd tasks. And my only complaint is , as others have said, it does get a bit warm after extended use. By that I mean after 30-45min of continuous use. But really it shouldn't be a big surprise that it gets warm after 30 min of continuous use, what power tool wouldn't ? It's easy to add grease , which is a must after a couple uses, and it performed beyond what I was expecting it to. It's a good tool for the price. And sds too! So bits are easily to find for it all over . It come with some bits , but but good ones, the ones it come with aren't very good . So after all that, it's a good deal and if you look after it properly , seems to last.
