I WANT MY MTV BACK I first read about Adrian Mole in college and fell in love with the book. In fact it inspired me to write my own American take on it called I WANT MY MTV BACK. Sue is such a great writer and I love reliving the history when I read these stories.

Bought by my Mum to replace a tiring set, these diary style written books are an absolute delight. I've read them all countless times and they are just a brilliant read, heartwarming and often very funny. From the first book, The Secret Diary Of Adrian Mole: Aged 13 3/4, which is written in typical juvenile style. As the books progress to the last one, Adrian Mole: The Prostate Years, so does the writing style as Adrian grows up. But they still have that same diary format all the way through. My personal favourite of the eight book collection is book seven, Adrian Mole: The Weapons Of Mass Destruction, which is just sublime and very funny. Reading these books will always cheer you up. The author Sue Townsend was working on a new ninth book when she sadly passed away. I really recommend this collection, the complete works of Adrian Mole. A special mention also to the delivery which was flawless and the driver even text to say they were on their way. Five stars.
