The two introductions, especially the paragraphs on content and themes, are exceptional. The authors organize the content of the Wisdom of Solomon around three themes: the wisdom of God, which is a divine attribute and a divine gift; the fullest teaching on life after death in the Old Testament; and how Wisdom deepens the teaching in the Old Testament on the goodness of God. The key themes of Sirach are wisdom, torch, retribution, temple worship, prayer, and life in society. I found the topical essay (p. 96) on "Nuptial Union with Lady Wisdom through Salvation History" enlightening. The book will be a great help to clergy as they prepare their homilies.

I will use this for a Bible Study on Wisdom and it is just perfect for what I need.
