I found this when I was looking for products that were free of chemicals and harmful ingredients. Each time I have used this on my curly hair, I receive compliments on my curls. It leaves my hair soft and there is no stickiness or residue. Plus it has a nice light smell.

Love this product. It is gluten free as I do need, as I have allergies and my skin can’t tolerate it. I have wavy curly hair and this keeps my hair “maintained ”. I use it either wet to air dry and also blow dried. Beautiful.

So far I am in love with this hair cream. I have slowly started using more and more Desert Essence products because of their natural ingredients, reasonable prices, and overall effectiveness. I have wavy/curly hair that tends to be oily and finicky when it comes to styling. No two hair days are ever the same! While there's nothing I can do about my hair type, I have to say this hair cream has really impressed me so far. I use a very small amount, emulsify in my palms, and it spreads evenly throughout my hair. Not once have I felt like it left an oily/greasy residue. Very nice, light coconut scent. It works great whether you've just gotten out of the shower, or you're re-applying to dry hair to style.

I got this product as a leave-in conditioner that follows the "Curly Girl Method" meaning it is silicone free.The bottle is very very small for the price. But, I have hair halfway down my back and only use a dime-size amount so I think it will last months before I run out. I also do not apply this anywhere near my scalp because it (and other leave-in conditioners) will make my hair look greasy. However, if you're using the correct amount and application, it shouldn't leave your hair looking greasy.I'm not sure if it really hydrates my hair anymore than my usual conditioner that I wash out but it does smell nice and does help my curls (which are more like waves really) have better form.

With great relief, I report the decades long search for a leave in conditioner hair product is over. I have literally tried dozens of so-called organic, natural, non harsh, etc. I have thick, curly hair which tends to be dry and frizzy. The product I'd been using made my hair look nice but caused a horrible allergic reaction - constant SCALP ITCH to the degree I couldn't sleep at night. Same with many other products. I am sensitive to heavy fragrance and chemicals. Today , after trying the Desert Essence Soft Curl Leave In, my hair is miraculously soft with lovely ringlet curls. Not sticky, not stiff as a board, and no scalp itch. I already had their coconut shampoo, which is also excellent. Expensive for such a small container, but I dilute it with water and put in a spray bottle (too thick otherwise- makes hair sticky). I'm a happy camper.

I have 2C hair that is fine and thin. This cream smells great and I use other products by this brand, but I won't buy this cream again. It's way too heavy for my fine and thin hair and it makes my waves look messy and without any definition.

I absolutely love this stuff! I used to use mousse for my curly hair, but it would leave it crunchy and wet looking. I came across this while looking for something natural and healthier. I'm so glad I gave it a shot!My hair is naturally wavy/curly, and I don't like using heating tools. So with this stuff, I just rub a little bit through my hair after I shower and comb it. Then I scrunch it and just let it air dry. It makes my hair curl really nice and keeps it really soft. It's lightweight and is great if you like the beach curl look.
