Love this lock. Installed in 2023 and came back to find out how to change the batteries before they die. Great lock, works every time and easy to use!!

I read a lot of reviews before buying, and discounted most of the bad reviews as poor installations or lack of understanding in how a smart-lock works. However, I now agree with a lot of the one star reviews, that this is a poor quality, poorly designed product and too unstable to use. Cosmetically, it look as good as some of the high end smart locks and didn't take too long to install. I found though that the installation guide is incomplete and a bit confusing. The interior part really needs another bolt to hold it securely That means the exterior section could be prised off with a screwdriver. Once all set up, it often just made a loud buzzing instead of opening or closing. The keypad illumination is unacceptably dim, even in pitch dark situations. Another observation is that the motor seems to eat up the batteries and I doubt that they will last beyond a few weeks. Conclusion, there are too many negatives and that makes this an unacceptable product. I ordered a different Brand which was the same price, installed without any issues in less that 20 minutes and works perfectly. So I am returning this (less the plain brown box packaging) which I threw away because I just never expected that this would turn out to be JUNK!!! I DO NOT recommend at all! Note to seller, please do not offer me cash to change my review to 5 stars...

This wasnt hard to install if you're a reliable do it yourselfer. And it worked well for over six years. But now the deadbolt wont fully retract when extended, and wont fully extend when retracted. So its pretty useless. Still, I think it was a good purchase for the price.

We live in a fairly harsh weather environment here in Maine. One of these locks also takes a beating by facing south into the sun pretty much year round. Nevertheless the front-door lock looks and works great. They seem to have achieved a very smooth internal mechanism that easily locks and unlocks without grinding or binding at all. If you already have removed a deadbolt, installation is easy, but if you are adding this lock you will need the same standard tools to drill the door out and chisel the jamb and door edge. Complete hardware and templates are in the box. I like these a lot, the light is bright for night use and they lock with one push of a button. The keys (two come with each lock) can be duplicated by a hardware store to give you extras. As with all key pads you need to still carry a key in case the batteries fail. I fully recommend these locks for both appearance and functionality.

The lock was easy to install, but the keyless entry (keypad) mechanism did not work. I have another keyless door knob from MiLocks that works well so sent an email to the company explaining the problem. Did not get a response, but 3 days later received a replacement for the inside lock (the part that holds the batteries). Installed it and the it works great. Overall, very easy to install, easy to operate, feels heavy duty, works as advertised, and excellent customer service although the communication could be better. As mentioned, this is my second MiLocks keyless entry and we're happy with the price and quality of the product. This deadbolt door lock was used to replace a top rated keyless Schlage deadbolt that we could never get to work despite costing much more.

I am very disappointed and unhappy with this product. I purchased it because I wanted a coded lock for my front door and it took me a while to get someone to come to install it, which by that point the Amazon return window was closed. Once it was installed, I had trouble programming it, and then when I did get it programmed, the lock would only engage manually, but not with the code, if the door was closed, which defeats the purpose of the lock, When the code finally worked, the unlock button locked it and the lock button unlocked it. So basically this is no different than a regular deadbolt as the code system doesn’t work at all. I have contacted them by phone and email and gotten NO response. Please do not buy this item! 1 star as a regular deadbolt I am updating this because after Amazon got in contact with them they reached out to me and sent me a new lock that works just fine. It took a long time but the issue is finally resolved and I have a lock that works.

This is not a “smart” lock. I knew that right up front. Having said that it works exactly as it was intended. My husband installed it within 15 minutes or so. We have several lock combinations saved so if we have to give one out to somebody we can. Then we can delete that particular combination and make another one. I love the ease with which this works. When you leave just close the door firmly and push the lock button. To unlock, simply punch in your code and then push the unlock symbol. That’s it. There is one button which provides a light when you push it and it makes all the number keys light up. We love it! Now that I know I like an electronic deadbolt, the next when I purchase will probably be a “smart“ lock so I can control it with my Amazon Alexa device.

If somebody RE-ORDERS the product for the OTHER doors in the house, you have a five-star rating. No complaints. The lock combos are easy. It's odd that I push the lever on the front door to the left to open, on the back it's the reverse. Other than that and the fact my neighbour and duplex-designated handyman had some issues worth curses in the install, the lock is worth the full five-star rating, I think the fourth one I have given out today in writing a series of reviews. Hmmm, wonder if I'm getting a LITTLE too easy to impress. Nope. No, this works as advertised. The price is right, the appearance is pleasing to the eye. Five stars since I didn't have to bother with the install. Otherwise it might have been a four.

The price of it is good compared with other electronic locks. I had two electronic locks before. But both lasted only few years. I hope this one can last longer. When I received the lock, two screws for attaching the back panel to the lock were missing and the socket was very hard to turn. I emailed them and within a week the replacement parts arrived. However, the screws were still not there. Otherwise, it was easy to install. I thing I don't like is it does not recommend use of rechargeable battery. I have to use more expensive alkaline battery. I'd give it a 5-star if the quality control is better.
