Dear customer，the barrel connector requirement for the ac adapter is：3.5*1.35mm. Note: only 5V can be used。

How long is the cord? Need to connect behind the computer which is stored i a compartment setting.

I’m not measuring with a tape measure but around 2 feet. Good length and I’ve not had any problems other than 4/10 times I have to push button off and on again to get computer to recognize mouse or calculator but not bothered by it since it’s on top of desk with easy access.

What ac power adapter can be used with this? i see specs are listed at 5volts; but at how many amps and positive or negative tip?

Not sure what you mean, there is no power to this. It basically is just a hub to plug USB's into....chips for wireless mouse, keyboard, etc.
