This is the second Bugs parody dvd I have. I also like the parodies on opera.

This is overall a good collection of classic Looney Tunes shorts (mainly Bugs Bunny ones), along with the more modern shorts made in the 90s and early 2000s. My favorites on this include I Love to Singa, Little Red Riding Rabbit, and Carrotblanca. However, there is one unfortunate problem with the set. Instead of featuring the Bugs Bunny short Super Rabbit from 1943, the disc has the TV episode Super Rabbit from The Looney Tunes Show of the early 2010s. Now I actually am a fan of that show, even though others LT fans weren't, but the main problem is that the rest of the cartoons on the disc are placed in order of release, whereas the Super Rabbit TV episode is placed third instead of at the end of the list. That clearly indicates that they meant to place the Super Rabbit short on the disc, but someone got it mixed up with the TV episode of the same name. Other than that error, it's a good set.

Hard to believe that Bugs Bunny is celebrating his 80th birthday this year. His legacy as one of the greatest cartoon characters will never ever go away. That goes the same for the entire Looney Tunes family. Bugs, Daffy, Pepe Le Pew, the Road Runner & Coyote have had superior cartoons that continue to inspire and entertain thousands of people young and old. But when I look at the DVD's released of the classic cartoon cavalcade, I have not been honestly amused because they have all missed opportunities to really celebrate the golden era of animation that is just as influential today, as they were released back form the 1930's-1960's. Looking though at the latest compilation, it loses a lot midway to say it is the best in satire. The Looney Tunes Parodies Collection is more like a mixed joke with a few punchlines missed upon the first time around. The compilations tries to make a bridge between the classic era of Warner Brothers cartoons to the more recent cartoons of the 80's to the 2000's. Tragically, that is where the collection shown to wane. While you do get some of the definitive classics here like What's Opera Doc? and Rabbit Of Seville, you also do shorts that have never been released on DVD before for Bugs Bunny like Rabbitson Crusoe and Hair-Rabian Nights where Bugs is trapped in the Arabian desert, forced to entertain sultan Yosemite Sam without falling down a crocodile pit. That is mainly where the compilation drops from being a collectible for hard core Looney tunes fans, myself included. Instead of choosing other funny parodies that the Looney Tunes cartoons made upon, they chose to bring in more of the current cartoons like Invasion Of The Bunny Snatchers and the final Bugs Bunny cartoon Chuck Jones created for Bugs, 1996's From Hare To Eternity as a memorial to Friz Freleng whom created Yosemite Sam and 2004's Hare and Loathing In Las Vegas. The other draw down is putting the 70's Looney Tunes special How Bugs Bunny Won The West, which tries to mesh a bundle of western cartoons that would've made a great addition to the collection like Drip-Along Daffy & Bonanza Bunny. In that essence, they would've been great additions to this lagged DVD if Warner Brothers did not release the TV special instead. As a massive Looney Tunes fan, I could honestly say the Looney Tunes parodies collection is a mixed buy. Only for the cartoons that have never been released like Jack Wabbit & The Beanstalk, I could say this is a must buy for die hard Looney Tunes fans. There were a lot of great cartoons that could've really been included here to boost the compilation like the underrated Chuck Jones classic Rocket Squad with Porky & Daffy as a satire of Dragnet and Police Squad and One Froggy Evening which took on a wonderful take on Mark Twain's Celebrated Jumping Frog Of Calervas County. It tragic that so many Looney tunes classics were miss out on this DVD. In the overall picture, it is tragic when the classic Looney Tunes legacy was full of parodies, Warner Brothers today stopped caring and forgot what it was like to have the Looney Tunes cartoons influence the world of parodies!!
