Lysol Disinfectant Concentrate Original Scent, 12 Fl Oz

June 7 2026 Lysol Concentrate has been discontinued by the manufacturer. I have been using Lysol concentrate for more decades than I will admit. Love it. As a concentrate, it didn't take up much space. Plastic bottle didn’t break. Small bottle didn’t hurt if I accidentally drop it on my toes. And I always felt it did a good job disinfecting. At least it smelled like it was working. Now the company has decided that instead of a 12oz bottle of concentrate to which I add my own water as I use it, I can now purchase a watered down version in a spray or a huge jug with water already added. This "helps" with the environment by increasing the amount of packaging required. It also "helps" because now it takes more fuel to ship/transport all those huge jugs of “pre diluted concentrate”. I was really hoping someone would dilute it for me as it is so difficult for me to do this at home. I am so helpless. Well, I don’t have to deal with that burden anymore. Nice to know that corporate America is so concerned about the planet. NO MORE LYSOL PRODUCTS FOR ME. SWITCHED TO A DIFFERENT BRAND

Old school. I havent used this in a couple of decades, and so I bought it on a whim. I saw lemon scented, but just know it still smells like concentrated bandaids. I am glad it still smells the same (kinda awful, haha). It's not one for making a cozy atmosphere, but it is something that works when you need the extra oomph in disinfecting. I prefer it over the pretty smelling stuff. I kinda like the weird slightly off putting smell, much like one might find skunk, bleach, or gasoline to be oddly satisfying. This falls into that category for me. It never gives me a headache, and it is overall really easy to use. Instructions are clear. I like to make up a small pan of it then just go over countertops, handles, walls, floors and other highly touched surfaces. I dont use it all the time, I dont think there is a need for it, but on occasion when I want to really go at it, I use this. Nice that it continues to be a concentrate, and is in a small bottle so it takes it up very little room. Worth the try, and the amount you get for the price is still very reasonable. I dont always find this in store (really if ever) so I am glad to see it here.

If you child is bed wetter this is Great to get out of the material if it's hard getting the smell out when you wash. Kind of smells like a hospital so don't tease too much. It goes a long way.

I actually rate the product 100 stars Nothing on this planet disenfects, cleans and deodorize like it. Excellent for everything. Leaves everything crisp and clean. I am so unhappy and disappointed that it's been discontinued. This product has been a staple in my family for well over 50 years. It's terrible that when I did find it on another site the price is gouged. I had to buy it. I don't know how I'm going to function without it. I even contacted the manufacter begging them to produce it again. I absolutely love the smell. I use this in my laundry as well as cleaning the bathroom and mopping my floors, washing walls. My home is known for having this scent which is the epidemy of disenfectant and crispy clean.

I really, really love original formula Lysol for disinfecting multiple surfaces around my home. Toilets, bathtubs, shower stalls, trash cans, floors, plastic cutting boards, countertops, sinks, washable walls, and more! It has that classic phenolic smell with a hint of thymol, you know, the disinfectants used in hospitals up until about 10-20 years ago. It reminds me of Control III, which is another hospital grade disinfectant, but this Lysol is a better value (except not safe for directly disinfecting medical equipment). I buy this stuff too because it deactivates spores, and I live in a humid area where the mold, fungus, and mildew start growing in bathrooms during the summer. This helps keep that microbial growth down. Plus once its pungent smell is gone, whatever you cleaned will be deodorized. No more funky musty odors around your home. It has a decent amount of foaming which makes me feel like I'm getting the job done thoroughly. I did not have any issues with leakage when ordering directly from Amazon.

The very best surface cleaner available to civilian consumers! It disinfects, makes cleaning more efficient and complete. It smells clean. It's concentrated, so it goes a long way. I love using it to clean the bathroom (as well as Comet), kitchen surfaces that get touched, hard floors, et cetera. Cleaning isn't complete without this original LYSOL disinfectant.

You know the old game, "If you could only take one thing on an island with you.....what would it be?" -So, for a non-human helpmate, THIS would be it! This liquid (original) Lysol is an actual miracle product. It cleans, sanitizes, deodorizes and disinfects. AND for the magic of mild and mildew? - Just let me tell you this one. After flood damage, and a leak that went unknown for a while, one day I woke up to mold and mildew all over my living room walls and wainscoting. I was, angry, scared and depressed. So, what do you do in cases like that? I called Mama! Mama says to me, "What did I tell you about things like this?" ---and I said, "oh, yeah, okay. Thanks Mom!" I hung up the phone and I ran for my liquid Lysol. Now, all I did was run a basin full of warm water, pour in some Lysol, grab a cleaning rag, and dropped it in the basin, wring out the excess water, and gently wipe the walls down. Voilà...the end! That is all. No scrubbing, rubbing, or wearing myself out. Just contact and instantly the Lysol performed its magic. I use it to clean the kitchen, the bathroom, sink, toilet, shower, floors - It is truly the all-purpose number in my home. I could rattle on but it would be mostly repetitious, I LOVE THE STUFF! ok? The smell is great, although I've heard on rare occasions of some folks who weren't fond of it, but no cleaning product smells cleaner or more pleasant for me. Suffice it to say it's unique - but it's a clean scent! You be the judge when you buy your own because I most highly recommend you do. ASAP. It becomes harder and harder to find for some reason. I am 70 years old and have been acquainted with concentrated Lysol since I was a child. Concentrated Lysol is the disinfectant my mother always used. It does have a distinctive smell that many people may not be accustomed to. After reading all the reviews and comments here, I decided that when my package arrived, I would do a test comparing it to a bottle I bought from a different seller back in January and before that in the fall (September I think). I used small clear cups. First I poured a small amount from the last bottle of my January order from a different seller. Then I lined up the bottles I had just gotten and opened each one. There was not a small white seal on them as I am accustomed to. I poured a bit from one of the new bottles in the clear cup. Color, smell, and viscosity (I was concerned that maybe it had been diluted) was the same from the new bottle as from the January bottle. I checked each bottle in my order and each bottle was the same as the concentrated Lysol that I bought in January. The smell is strong, but has not changed. I think most people may not be familiar with the smell of concentrated Lysol. As for the price. I paid $13.48 per bottle in my current order. Precious orders from September and January were 3 bottles for $18.01 or $6 per bottle. Yes, the new price is double. I guess I'm not surprised. IF you can find hand sanitizer or disinfectant wipes, they cost 2 to 3 times more than they did back in January. The wonderful thing about the concentrate is that one bottle will makes 9 gallons of disinfectant. I would buy this product again. I will confess that I was VERY nervous about it after reading all the comments and was prepared to contact a friend about having the chemical content tested. After conducting my own limited research, I am confident that this is indeed the same chemical compound of Lysol concentrate that I have used and that my mother used. It is a VERY good disinfectant.

Good old faithful Lysol , still that distinctive smell , does a great job , bit expensive but it’s concentrated .

Strong disinfectant with a nice clean scent. Concentrated,just dilute with water. Good for outside use on paths,in sink drains or anywhere else where strong disinfectant is needed.

Bought this after I saw a tip for getting petrol smells out of clothing after my husband wore his favourite trousers to empty the petrol tank of his motorbike. It worked perfectly and left the trousers smelling of "wrights coal tar soap" if your old enough to remember that. I only used 2 cap full too.

Good old fashioned CLEAN smell. CLEAN not of flowers or fruit sometimes its nice a clean fresh smell. Disinfectant is excellent ! works great on anything. love it.
