FrogTape is my go-to for not only painting, but for labeling stuff in my kitchen. Fist for painting, this is a very high quality tape for trim and edges. This is a premium painters tape, I assume to be compared with the Scotch brand blue painter's tape. They're pretty similar in adhesive ability and both are great for sharp edges. I do think FrogTape works a little better, in my opinion. Sometimes this is needed and other times, just a lower end painter's tape is OK. But when you need super sharp edges, I think the way to go is FrogTape. I also use this to label random things in the kitchen. Frozen foods in ziplock bags, random items in jars, etc. This sticks well and black magic marker looks great agains the green color.

Haven't actually used it for painting, but if you want to label things in your kitchen and to stay even if it gets wet or damp, it's amazing. Just ensure that you crimp a little tab on the end to make removal easy. Takes a Sharpie well and I have it constantly on a dispenser on my counter

That’s kind of a scary thought but honestly, one of the most annoying thing about painting is when you come across a product that either doesn’t work or is so bad at its job that you wish you hadn’t bought it in the first place. This tape goes on easy—if I accidentally got some on the plastic too early or in the wrong spot or on my sleeve, it easily came off—and then when I applied it to the appropriate surface and gave it one smooth roll-over with either the tape roll, a painter’s tool, or my hand, the tape held itself and the plastic wrap in place. I am very impressed. I thought installing the window covers to paint out sliding doors that are maybe 12 feet long would be a nightmare and I had visions of it constantly tearing under the weight of the plastic during installation (because there wouldn’t be 12 feet of tape in place initially supporting all of the weight) but I had literally no issue and I’m so pleased. It worked to hold the cover, it worked to seal out unfinished outlets and protect the wiring capped in place while also being easy to remove. My only recommendation is to not go overboard with your application of it and don’t press it too hard into your wall (especially if it’s drywall). In the first room, having never painted before I may have not trusted the tape to work and added too much and pressed it too hard into the dry wall which resulted in peeling off some of the surface when done, which was easily spackled but that took additional time. After that room, we had no issues and felt like seasoned pros with the help of the tape. Thank you!

Great tape. Paint lines turned out crisp!!! Tape is not as tacky as the regular blue tape, which is good

Always wonder how this stuff works pretty well except be careful. Sometimes it will split in half and you have to get an exacto knife to get it off in small, tight places

Great painting, easy. Peals nicely after paint dries.

Seriously, don’t even bother messing with other tapes for watercolor or other types of art painting. Believe me, I tried many. Just get this and don’t waste your money or time, or wreck your art bc you went cheap on the tape.

Great product did exactly as advertised . Masked up great and no bleed of paint into unwanted areas.

It doesn't get ANY better than frogs tape. I used to paint for a little side hustle and now I still do alot of painting such as refinishing furniture etc, This is the ONLY tape I will ever trust. Yes it's a bit pricier but it's saved me hundreds if not thousands of dollars in extra time and work for bleeds or touch up etc. It's never ever removed any of my paint while I peel it off, even if I left it on a little too long, which I DO NOT suggest doing!
