Exactly what I expected
This works so well. So glad there's one that fits my little egg pan. Makes cooking a bit more convenient.

Fits Lodge cast iron pans w/ short handles. Doesn't fit small Le Creuset cast iron skillet .
I recently purchased the small Le Creuset Cast Iron Signature Skillet (the one that measures 6.3 inches or 1/2 quart in size). I wanted a silicone handle cover for the skillet, rather than trying to use a pot holder with this pan. I also was hoping for the silicone handle cover to closely match the length of the actual handle and not be so long, that you may not get a good grip on the pan when picking it up. While Le Creuset does make silicone handle covers, they are all the longer length, and so I took my chance and ordered this silicone handle cover instead. While the length of this handle cover is perfect, and even the shape looks like it should be the perfect fit for that particular sized Le Creuset skillet, it does not fit, as when you go to slip it on the handle, it is not quite as wide as it looks. So I did end up having to purchase the long handled Le Creuset silicone cover instead anyway. The quality looks great and the grip too on this holder. If you owned the Lodge pan I would have no reservations about recommending it. I honestly am writing this review for the Le Creuset owner though who wants that smaller length silicone handle for their pan and sees this as an option, because it is not going to work for Le Creuset.

Fits my 8” pan
Fits my Wagner 8” well. Tight enough the pan doesn’t try to spin in the silicone sleeve.

Oops! But it turns out OK.
Messed up and ordered this Mini Silicone Hot Handle Holder by mistake, instead of the larger one. :-/ It actually fits tight on my 10.25" & 12" skillets, but it still kind of squirms on the handle if you try to pick up a loaded skillet with just the one handle. It works well if you use the assist handle (with the silicone handle cover that is made for it) and use two hands. Got my 10.25" to a rippin' hot 5 minute pre-heat with the handle already on it, to sear a sous vide steak, and I could still grab and lift the pan barehanded when I was done. It was a little warm to the touch, but still very manageable, with no sense of urgency to want to let go of it. These things are really made to slip on just before you grab the skillet, and slip off right away once you are done moving it. Some people have the misguided notion that these are meant to stay on the handle for a whole high heat cooking cycle (some even leaving them on in the oven) and then burning their hands. Of course they get too hot to handle when you do this. ...THEY ARE DOING IT ALL WRONG! You use them like you would use a pot holder, slip it on, move the skillet, then slip it off right away. This Mini holder doesn't easily slip on or off of the big skillets like it is supposed to do, so I will likely buy the larger version of it for my big skillets. I'll probably keep this smaller holder, and buy one (or a few) of Lodge's small skillets for it to fit on.

Great Coverage
I've been meaning to get one of these for a while now, finally did, and I am so glad. I wasn't sure it would fit given the range it says it covers but its just right. Its thick but not too thick so you get protection to need from the heat but still regular ease of holding the handle. It was a bit of work to put it on but because its silicon you can just squeeze it a little and twist to help put it on. Once in place it stays securely.

Good heat protector
Helps with heat generated from cast iron skillet handles, but when heated on the handle will become lose, so use with caution, but also do not put in the oven while cooking. On the stove works great, just as said loosens when handle gets hot, but stays on.

Excelente calidad.

It gets warm but can handle the pan without oven gloves. Much safer. Recommend! Just wish it yould come with the pan so I didn;t have to go to the trouble of sourcing it separately

I bought this to use with a Lodge cast-iron skillet (bought from amazon.co.uk, too)... It remained in a closet for a few months (waiting for the skillet to be used first) and then... voila! Its true purpose was revealed: My old Insinkerator (waste-disposal machine, bought from this, very amazon) was giving up the ghost. But before it did, finally burst (it was actually the capacitor which blew) with a little smoke, it tormented me by letting out, in unexpected times/moments, electrical surges. The surges would be felt upon touching the kitchen tap (faucet). No electrician was able to find the source of the surges and so, until the Insinkerator's capacitor had its one and final burst, from the fear of electrocution, we abandoned the kitchen faucet and kept using the bath tap instead. Which we weren't sure, whether it was safe to use. Until the Insinkerator-damade revealed itself, we would suspect anything. So we put this thing as a cover on the bath tap, rather as an insulator, and it fit wonderfully (I should post a pic). Finally: Problem solved (Insinkerater disposed), the silicon-item remain on the bath-tap. I think of buying another for the skillet... :-D
