Unable to adjust length of pruners. The black bit is stuck.

Hi, Thank you for your question, to adjust the tree pruners, put one hand above the black grip one hand below the grip and twist to open and then twist to lock, I hope this helps. Best regards Spear & Jackson

The prices vary so much i don't know if they are the same? ebay it's around £80 and argos and wickes under £30

Does it come in a manufacturers box

As I recall, it comes with the handle sticking out from the bottom of a heat sealed, plastic case that encapsulates the blades and the neatly folded cord that you pull to activate it. The leverage given by the mechanism when you pull makes it easy to slice through green wood branches well over3-4 cms in diameter and I also use it with the cord pull set really short and the base of the handle resting on the ground as a way of effortlessly chopping up longer branches and shoots so they fit easily into bags and/or bins for taking to the local composting and/or waste disposal
