Why did you pick this product vs others?:Value for money:I ordered one of these in 1TB for picture and video transfers/ and some editing. I was immediately impressed with the quality and the speed of the drive. In fact I was so impressed I quickly ordered two more. Let me tell you these are fast. Very satisfied.

Decent 1TB external flash drive but it seems not to register or appear on older generation devices.

Fast and reliable 2 TB storage. No configuration is needed, just plug it in to Apple Mini. Very happy with the purchase.

1st, this thing is smal/light. Glad I picked red so it stands out. Came with a well thought out cable. I liked that the actual cable is USB-C to USB-A with a USB-a to USB-C adapter. This mean that when using it on my phone or my Chromebook I can keep both peices assembled and intact. I only have to remove the adapter when connecting to my Desktop where I have plenty of room to safely store the adaptor. My other portable SSD has it the opposite with USB-C to USB-C as the actual cable configuration. I've already lost 2 adaptors using it on planes and other ad hox siutations.The first thing I did was load ~350 GB of movies. I found out this unit is NOT fast. Transfer rates were ~38 MBS. It took 2.5 hours to copy the movies. However, since my use was setting up my initial portable library this is no big deal. Playback works fine.For the price I paid I'm very happy and pleased with how well it works.

I wouldn't use it for gaming, but if you just need a small sized mass storage ssd for photos, videos, files and you're ok with very slightly longer write speeds, buy it. I play movies off of the drive through my phone with no issues and haven't had any corruption in the last year.

I have only had the drive for about a week, and windows says that "this drive needs to eb formatted before you can use it." I had some important things on that drive, but all can be recovered from other drives(this one just consolidated all of them) and from the cloud. Never buying from some sketchy company like VANSUNY again. I also saw that the box of a JOIOT internal SATA SSD looked exactly the same as this box, which leads me to think that this is one of those times when a company makes multiple brands(i needed the SATA SSD for a project that failed, not because of the SSD) and has each selling the same products, just so only 1 brand at a time gets a bad rep instead of the whole company. Every free file recovery service i use can either can not find the files, or lock most of the files on the drive behind a paywall.

Now, i was told this could help with speed but I'm not seeing it. I'm not going to return it because it will give extra space. I'm using it with the PC. I haven't tried it with my phone but it's small enough to carry with me if I need to and it comes with a little pouch.
