How do I make mango lassi with this?

Use one part mango pulp to two parts plain yogurt or milk. Blend with a little ice and a pinch of ground cardamom until smooth. That is the whole recipe, and it is the same base restaurants pour.

What is actually in the can?

Four things: Kesar mango, water, sugar and a little citric acid. No preservatives, no added colours and no artificial flavour, so the taste is simply ripe Indian mango.

What is the difference between Kesar and Alphonso?

Kesar is bright, floral and pleasantly tangy-sweet, which is why it is the classic lassi mango. Alphonso is rounder and honey-sweet and shines in desserts. Rani makes both, sweetened and unsweetened.

It is lightly sweetened so it works straight from the can in lassi and smoothies. Customers often describe it as delicious and not overly sweet. If you would rather sweeten it yourself, we also make an unsweetened version.
