Super Impressed
I purchased these for my girlfriend son's first gaming pc set up. He will primarily be using a headset but still wanted to get him a neat looking set of dedicated speakers because the built in monitor speakers are beyond awful. Ive heard of these and always thought they looked neat. For $30, decided to go ahead and try these out since he would love the RGB effects and I love Phanteks as a brand.I wasnt expecting much out of them, for being from a company that isnt exactly known for audio products, and only being $30. Even the most generic set of plain black logitech speakers are in this price point. Came in, decided to test them out just to see if they are quality and if I should return. Long story short, I was blown away.First off the packaging is very nice. Simple brown box with phanteks branding around it. Open it up and theres a nice little instruction card, that a cord box in between the 2 speakers wrapped in plastic bag flanking it. They were securely in there and had nice thick foam on the face side to prevent damage.Extremely simple to set up. Plug in micro usb-micro usb between the 2 speakers, plug usb c cable into either computer or wall, then the 3.5 cable into the headphone port of pc. All the RGB buttons are on the side and the RGB effects are simple, but very well done. Alot brighter than I had imagined but also not overdoing it.Now for the sound. I personally have a set of Bose Companion 2 speakers which are a simple, nice pair of speakers. Def wouldnt call them audiophile level, and I dont care that much. But they were around $100 when I purchased. I turned on spotify and played a couple songs. Did the same with these Phanteks speakers. Played the same song side by side. My Bose speakers were definitely cleaner and crisper, but the Phanteks actually packed a solid little bass punch, more so than mine. Not quite as crisp, but definitely ALOT better than a $30 set should sound. Proceeded to play some movie clips and same deal as the music. Sound quality is stunning for $30.As far as build quality, they are plastic, but it isnt a cheap flimsy feeling plastic. Its a nice thick, sturdy black shell with mesh front for the speaker. They are lightweight but provide enough heft to feel quality. Has 4 little rubber feet on bottom to prevent sliding. They are small and compact and wont take up much room on your desk (or in your bag if you want them as traveling laptop speakers.)Ive only had them for roughly 2 hours so I cant speak on longevity. But for $30, if they last a year, id be happy. Though im sure they will last much longer than that as long as they arent treated horribly.Only 2 gripes, and they are nitpicks. First is the bundled wires are fairly short. I would say 2-3ft max. If you have a dual/triple monitor setup and want to put them on the ends, the wire connecting the speakers may not be long enough. Also depending where the connection speaker is in relation to computer, the power and 3.5 may not be long enough either. But all 3 cords are very cheap and readily available so a longer set can be purchased for well under $10 total. Other thing is that these just wont work well laying on their sides. They slip and move very easily due to the slick plastic body and lightweight construction. I personally like laying my speakers sideways under the monitors, and I just dont see that being an option unless you add on your own cheap little rubber feet.Overall, for a kids first set up or even just a budget option, I dont think you will find a better budget pair of speakers than these. Sound is great, the look and lighting is awesome and subtle, they dont feel flimsy, and they are low in cost. Ive had several budget speakers in the past from logitech and other brands, and ive never been more impressed than I am with these.

Form over function

Great speakers for a Phanteks fan at a very low price!
This is the best impulse buy a Phanteks fan could make. Obviously great looking desk accessory for someone who likes the Evolv X chassis. The RGB is great and has all of the same effects as the case does. Sound is surprisingly decent (mids/lows can be a bit "muddy" but less than you'd expect for $30 speakers, highs are real nice since it has separate tweeters), and build quality is impressive for the low cost. Connecting them was simple.

They look pretty. Sound, not so much.
Mistakenly bought these thinking that if (when) the bass response turned out to be lackluster then I could plug in my old speakers' subwoofer (turns out the speakers it goes with were boosting it a ton so it's almost dead silent plugged into anything else) or I could buy a standalone one for a reasonable price (but how's $80 at minimum sound?) so... failing that, these aren't put in a good position. You know you're not getting a well-rounded sound signature from little speakers like these. That's pretty much true across the board, at any price point. What is quite disappointing, though, is that these fell apart pretty hard on the high end as well. Certain songs, certain sounds caused some nasty clipping that the cheaper tube speakers I randomly bought years ago handled perfectly fine. Fair to say, I didn't expect much bass response, but I am disappointed at the overall sound quality, especially after looking through reviews to set my expectations. At least the build quality is great. One major leg up these things have is that they feel really solidly built, have a nice heft and look great. Everything can be unplugged, which makes them very easy to set up how you want. A lot of speakers at this price point are hardwired together and it just limits your options, so big plus there, if the poor sound quality doesn't scare you off. And definite plus points for the slick lighting on the front, which offers a lot of options that look quite nice. I did notice, though, that some of the lighting modes audibly effected the sound they put out, particularly yellow-ish ones.

One of the best bang for your buck speakers!
Great tiny speakers for only $30. The audio quality is actually pretty good for thirty bucks. The best part is the RGB lighting is really cool and looks really nice. Perfect if you want small speakers that look amazing and sound decent for less than $50

Holy Crap, these are garbage! Why Phanteks, why???
Because I purchased a Phanteks Enthoo case, I thought these would be fun to go with it as they match the case shape perfectly. They are amazing, until you turn them on. I really don't know how these could sound so bad. I just don't get it. The speakers and magnets are big enough to provide adequate sound but the sounds that come out of them are just plain garbage when turned up past, zero? WHY PHANTEKS, WHY?!?!???? So much potential to sound, decent, but no. Please stick to making PC cases. Please!!! RGB is fun and the materials used seems to be of a good quality but it stops there. Right there.

Bad power cable. Called amazon now I have a better usb to usb c power cable on the way.
Thank you amazon for sending me a new power cable. This went from a 3 to a 5 star! The sound is loud for usb 5v 1a. The sound is only good to about 80%. I got them to go with my case. ENTHOO EVOLV X GLASS PRODUCT CODE : PH-ES518XTG.Looks great. I'll say this if I wanted good sound I would of got a sound bar for around a $100.These are only for looks.
