When I was looking into the process of buying a home, this book served as an excellent reference.While I think one needs to look to a variety of sources to make informed decisions in the home-buying process, this was an excellent starting place for a first-time buyer, such as myself. It broke down a lot of the terms and phrases that are part of the process and made them more understandable. It also did a good job breaking down the different steps involved and providing examples of relevant forms.I have a friend who is recently looking into purchasing her first home and I have already recommended this book to her.

This book is like a road map that guides you through the does and don' t's of home buying. Read it first. It will save you a lot of head aches.

Having purchased this book and the Nolo's "Essential Guide to Buying Your First Home" book. I found this book to be far more comprehensive, direct, and useful. It does not try to be snazzy or cute. Instead, it is an immensely practical book that gets to the point and provides extremely important and useful information. I'm indeed grateful for buying this book.

I have never owned a home and the prospects feel daunting at times. This is why I decided to buy this book. It is an easy read, but it is not the definitive book. This is a good book to buy to help take the blood pressure down by 10 points, understand the key facts, help you frame your search, and develop good questions. More research has to be done, but I recommend this book for anyone with zero experience in buying. It helps in understanding the tasks that lay ahead.
