Great for reaching deep brake calliper circlips
Having fished around inside the calliper barrel with a pair of long nosed pliers for long enough I realised that I would need these. The following day, only five minutes after they were delivered, I was able to easily remove the circlip and finish the disassembly of a Mazda mx5 mk1 rear calliper. It’s not the most robust tool I’ve bought, but it’s been 26 years since the calliper was assembled in Japan and probably another 20 odd years until I’ll need the tool again. With garage labour rates at upwards of £75 an hour the cost of the tool represents about 10 minutes of labour at the garage. Good piece of kit if used sparingly.

Tool does what it needs if a little flimsy
A tool that does the job and that's all you need, a little flimsy but nothing major.Great tool got me out of a sticky jam, with Amazon same day delivery.Used to remove internal circlip from a rear caliper with handbrake mechanism.

Great value for money long-node circlip pliers
Perfectly good circlip pliers for circlips deep in master cylinders, brake calipers etc. They are thin and precise with a fine tip and feel good to use.Just a note for anyone else trying to get the clips out of a 34mm Lucas caliper off a Ford Focus (and similar) - they don't fit. They are not thin enough to reach down. However, I have 2 of these pliers and filed the arms on one to make them thinner. Then it worked a treat :-).

The tool for the job.
I bought these to take apart the brake cylinders of my SRAM Guide R brakes after the plastic pistons had swollen. There's a small circlip that would be practically impossible to remove without this sort of tool. Normally I'd have a go with screwdrivers and bits of wire, but that was never going to work this time. The pliers were much larger than I expected, about 180mm long, but they're perfect for the job. As others have said, I also needed to slightly file down the pins to remove the paint and a little metal so they would fit. That took a bit of trial and error and the pins look very thin, but they gripped OK and got the clip in and out with relative ease. Apparently they're also useful if you ever need to strip the rear brake calipers of an MX5 too!

Cost effective circlip pliers
For a tool that I will use on very few occasions the quality for the price cannot be beaten, sure there are better quality tools available but this has to be factored against usage

Excellent for clutch drum circlips down the tube on a strimmer

Low quality
Product is poor quality. The tips of the arms were about 6mm different height made it impossible to remove any clips. Once I finally got the tips in to a clip when squeezed the arms twist and bend. No strength what so ever and made them useless for the job they are intended.
