Where is the on and off switch located at?

There is no on/off switch. The disposal is supposed to be wired to a "light switch" that turns it on and off. In my case, it's wired to a plug under the sink that is controlled by a light switch next to the sink.

How’s the Noise level?

It is as loud as any cheaper model I've ever bought. I don't know why its so loud but trust me, it is LOUD.

what if you dont have a garbage disposal-what do you need to install this

The disposal comes with all you need to install it with. It's just if you are replacing this one with another, you won't need all the parts.
