Shocking little gadget.
I bought this device because a co-worker of mine recommended it. He had the regular version and I had to one up him. The item came right on time as always, when I buy through Prime. I was hesitant on this because i was not sure how strong the wires would be. The picture does not do it justice. The wires are more like aluminum bars about the thickness of a 8 gauge nail and are pretty strong. I have applied pressure with my hands to verify its well made and wont break. The racket end is about the size of a badminton set and the handle is the size of a tennis racket. It houses 2 C batteries. The test is how well it shocks. My first attempt sold me on it. I found a large carpenter ant and threw it onto the bars. The second it touched, electricity sparked (made a loud pop) and the ant exploded and landed about 4 feet away. It was enough that my kids didn't want to be anywhere near it or attempt to use it. I next used it on a small moth flying in my house. This did not spark, I'm assuming do to the size and little to no body mass, but i didn't release the button right away and the moth turned red and smoldered. You could see the burn going through it. I have been waiting for a large gathering of bugs outside my house in a swarm to take a swing or two at. The issue is getting use to swinging it at bugs. Fly's are pretty fast and can be hard to hit. In the end this thing is in no way a toy and does its job well. Update I have a gazebo I am building and am currently putting in the screening. Flies are coming in like crazy. I decided to get this out because, my sugar gliders, eat flies and I figured I can score them an easy meal. I have been using it and for small insects, its pretty lethal. Some flies that land on it die, and if you let off some juice, you can see their wings move from the nerves. Pretty morbid, I know. Anyways, this makes a pretty loud crack when the bugs touch it, but I'm finding larger bugs (and some smaller) are not killed by this. I hit a fly 4 times in the air, each time the fly created a spark, but did not go down. Now i don't know if these are local flies, or ones from Krypton, but many larger insects can take the shock. Most smaller ones die. Larger ones it's a toss up between death, wounded to the point they can't fly or laughing it off. I have even had a few horse flies come in. If you have never seen a horse fly, count yourself lucky. They are about the size of Mothra from the old Godzilla movies. The few that I've had, have gone down but not died. I usually just whack them and put them out of their misery before being eaten (by my gliders of course). I originally said this is not a toy, but I am finding it REALLY FUN to use.

Works great
This thing is the best . I upgraded the c cells to slightly larger TIF batteries from a tif combustible leak detector so instead of 1.5 volts they are 2. 2 volt cells and it blows bugs apart . Fries them instantly .

Best racket zapper out there. I’m going pro next year
Buying my second one after having my first for about 2 years. It never activated or sparked when there wasn’t something completing the circuit. The only reason mine broke was because my guitar pedal fell on it from a top shelf onto the zapper and the metal bars flew everywhere. I tried to put them back but each one has its own place and I messed it up. So here I am buying number two. Best value for the money. U get wat u pay for unless ur getting ripped off!! So make sure ur not getting ripped off!

The Devil"s tennis racket!!
First,i'll start by saying that this is the big brother of the standard Executioner. It is much larger and much more powerful. The measurements are 22in in legnth, the actual racket head measures 10 1/2 in x 8 in. The handle is the same size as an actual tennis racket, give or take. It is built very well and is very sturdy. It comes with a very nice case, and uses 2C cell batteries which are included. The unit activates with a single push button on the handle with a solid click,it must be held in manually. A red led and a high pitched whine let you know it is powered up and ready for business! This thing will kill pretty much whatever it touches in the bug world. It does so with a bright blue flash, and a snap that i louder that several cap guns. By mistake i swung at something at night and it was a bat, and this unit killed it (sorry, it was not intentional, i know bats are useful,my bad). This unit does not have the protective mesh on the racket to protect you from shock, so be careful. This is actually a good thing because it will zap any size creature, whearas the ons that have the protection are limited on the size of the critter they can zap. To wrap it up,..This is an awesome unit, well built, and will do what you ask of it. The only reason i didn't give it 5 stars is because i would have liked a power button that stays on when pressed. Buy this unit because it is larger and more powerfull, it is a little pricy but i feel it is worth it. Just a couple of hints: Since the handle is plastic it can be a little slick, especially if your hand sweats. I found that several pieces of non-slip tape around the handle works great (i used hockey tape). Keep this away from flamable gas or liquids. So before you go on a BBQ killng spree make sure you steer clear of the propane or lighter fluid, or you'll be the one getting fryed. Don't get it near to sensitive electronics, no waving it around granpa's pacemaker! KEEP THIS AWAY FROM THE KIDS!!!! You wouldn't let a child play with a frayed electrical cord, don't let them play with this. I accidentally zapped myself with this....super painful! This also keeps the pesky neighborhood dogs in their own yards,...along with the pesky neighbors!! LOL Hope this review helped fellow Amazoners' I will update if need be.

Yes, the bigger bugs may not die instantly... But there's satisfaction in this as well. I don't mind a double tap here and there. Why didn't I have one of these before? No mess, just a fried crispy bug. Sorry vegans.

Despite putting the best batteries inside, it does not kill any fly on impact. It just zaps them to the ground, but they are very much still alive and will fly again if left. Normal sized flies need two or more zaps to be downed. Expensive for nothing.
