I started eating tofu scramble when I had this ‘economy turmeric.’ It would turn out delicious every time. Then, I ran out of the turmeric and replaced it with one of the ‘healthier’ $7 organic glass jar brands of fresh turmeric. Funnily enough, I absolutely hated the way the ‘fresh, organic’ turmeric made my tofu scramble taste (grassy almost… like too fresh). So I went back and bought this ‘economy’ turmeric, and although it’s darker color and probably less fresh, my tofu scramble tastes amazing again!! Now the expensive fancy one is just collecting dust… :)

You might think I'm exaggerating when I say a jar of turmeric saved my life. You haven't met the bunnies of Whispering Pines. It started innocently enough.
