Would these match any brand of inserts? Ihave Alva baby inserts

Yes! Most pocket diaper inserts are universal. These diapers will also come with inserts for all 6 diapers and they work better than the Alva ones we have (however our Alva ones are Microfiber and these are Bamboo/microfiber mix)

Which detergent do you use?

Tide free and gentle. Do NOT use fluff love university for a wash routine. They use triple the amount of detergent you really need which causes detergent build up and leads to ammonia in your diapers that gives baby terrible chemical rashes.

Are they 6 diapers with the inserts inside plus an additional 6 inserts?

No, 6 pocket diapers and 6 inserts

Can disposable inserts be used in these?

Well, not inside the pocket. I use the inserts on top of the diaper, so the insert is what touches the baby’s skin. I started using the bamboo lining which works very well. Hope this helps.
