I used Human Biology by Sylvia Mader. And a self-teaching biology book is super helpful, too. I liked Biology: A Self-Teaching Guide (Wiley Self Teaching Guides) by Steven D. Garber. He just came out with a new, very up-to-date edition - even mentions COVID-19! The Crash Course Biology videos on YouTube are fun and helpful, albeit a bit fast-paced. Between taking notes, making and practicing with vocabulary flash cards, watching the Crash Course videos and taking/reviewing practice tests, I managed a 57. You need a 50 to get into most schools. She made flash cards from the overview material and studied them to death. She also added flash cards from all the wrong answers when she took a practice test.
