Another stunningly designed cookbook from the team behind Casa Moro and Moro: The Cookbook โhere the focus is on tapas As the little sister of Moro, Morito has been serving delicious and innovative tapas and mezze for several years. Moritoโs cracked plaster walls and striking bright orange Formica bar create a space that is relaxed and welcoming but also edgy and cool, described by Times critic Giles Coren as, โsimultaneously supercool and modest, and as much like a brilliant little backstreet place in Spain as youโll find in this country.โ Now, with the publication of the cookbook of this hugely successful restaurant, Moritoโs small plates can be cooked, eaten, and shared at home. Photographed over the course of two years, often by members of the Morito team, the pages of the book invite you in to celebrate and share the special character and atmosphere of Morito. There are more than 150 simple and seasonal recipes arranged in 10 chapters. Choose from (Breads) Zaโatar Flatbreads, (Pinchos) Anchovy, Pickled Chilli and Olive Gilda, (Montaditos) Crab Toasts with Oloroso Sherry, (Eggs and Dairy) Huevos RotosโBroken Eggs with Chorizo and Potato, (Vegetables) Beetroot Borani with Feta, Dill and Walnuts or Crispy Chickpeas with Chopped Salad, (Fish) Sea bass Ceviche with Seville Orange, or Black Rice with Preserved Lemon, (Meat) Lamb Chops Mechoui with Cumin or Smoked Aubergine with Spiced Lamb and Chilli Butter, as well as a handful of classic Morito desserts and drinks. Chockful of lively photos and with a bright orange placeholder ribbon, this book matches the place it celebratesโit hits you like a wall of joy. Includes metric measures. Review: Five Stars - Awesome book Review: Bar snacks, basically. - I have eaten at Moro--one of the best meals I've ever had, and I really like the style of the restaurant food so I have the other three books as well and cook from them frequently. This book is not really useful to me. It is the book for the bar-restaurant next door to Moro and it is full of extremely salty, fatty, bar snacks. Its not that they don't look tasty. But they are designed for drunk people to get drunker and to enjoy and to spend a lot of money over, without really being all that good or something that I would serve. The owners of Moro admit that the seats at the bar are backless stools that are quite uncomfortable for "anyone over 50" because they just want a young, monied, drinking crowd that will eat and drink and then get out. The cookbook is designed for that. I'm happy to have it, but I think there are probably only two recipes in the whole thing that are worth considering "recipes" in the sense that you can't intuitively make it already or that are unique and interesting.

and the middle eastern inspired tapas are all amazing. Makes me want to go and buy the ...
I was lucky enough to stumble upon this restaurant in 2011 and I've been clamouring for more of this food for over three years. The recipes are simple, the ingredients are common enough (Ok, you might have trouble finding Iberico ham), and the middle eastern inspired tapas are all amazing. Makes me want to go and buy the Moro book, and visit London again.

Sehr gute und originelle Rezepte
An excellent new book from the Moro team who published three great cookbooks before this one. The recipies stand out by their strong tastes and wide variety of ingredients. Some ingredients may be hard to find if you are not in a city with a variety of food shops but the authors give tips on how to obtain ingredients. Inspiring!

Don't want to go on holiday!!
This is another wonderful cook book from the Clarks but completely surpasses the others in my view. The recipes look so delicious and so 'do-able' that I want to get stuck in straight away - but we are off on a Scandinavian adventure tomorrow so I can't! I will be cooking my way through this when I get back. It has lots of delicious low carb recipes too that fit with my diet. I respectfully but completely disagree with the reviewer who suggested it was a re-hash of the original book. There is a much wider range of tastes and flavours and a much more accessible style. A gem.
