While nothing beats a 3 foot level, they are not the easiest to carry around while working on smaller projects. This 1 foot level is a great little level for small projects, or tight spaces. It's accurate enough. It hasn't caused any alignment or cutting problems.I can throw it in my travel took it, or add to my cargo pants without worry of it getting damaged or banged up.

Feels very sturdy in my hands, compact so it fits in my toolbox, and the magnet is definitely strong enough to hold itself up. The top view cut outs for the two middle vials is a nice feature. The blue vials might be harder to see against darker surfaces or in badly lit areas, but its nothing a light won't help. I think its perfect to have for projects around the house, definitely worth the 15 bucks or so it cost.

I really like the inch markings on the horizontal bubble, makes for easy adjustment of whatever it is you are leveling. Magnet is strong and holds tight. It's now my go to level on my jobsites.

For a small, tool-box level, this unit is very well made, accurate and useful for multiple purposes - with its graduated pitch scale perfect for setting drain pipes and gutters. The top view windows make it even more useful and the blue liquid makes it easy to read.With a long straight-edge, this one foot level can work as a 4' or 6' level as well. I'm very pleased with this purchase, and have no use for my inexpensive torpedo level any more.

I’ve ONLY ever used Empire levels and measuring tools since my dad (professional master plumber 40+ years) made the switch to them around 2002. I’m a bit of a perfectionist but consider myself a “TRY IT YOURSELFER” instead of DIYer because I expect professional results and will hire one if my work isn’t up to snuff.I used all my Empire levels (48”, 24”, and 12”) on my amateur kitchen remodel. All three of them read perfectly the same. When the countertop installers took their template, they all commented on how level and square the cabinets were.The one thing I wish I had from this level is a lighted display. This is retrospective due to the fact I didn’t have electricity in that area of the house and relied upon a battery powered work light.
