Lou Malnati’s Chicago Deep Dish Pizza, 6-Pack (6 Sausage) | Handmade, Restaurant Quality

I cooked some of these pies a couple of days after receiving them in a Chicago style deep dish pie pan. I followed the stated directions and these came out fantastic! The cheese, tomato sauce and toppings all tasted fresh and did not resemble other frozen pizzas. They are pricey, they taste better than most of the pizzerias in the DMV! A must buy if you're not living in a pizza town!

My wife orders a Lou Malnati's six-pack every time we run out. I'm originally from Chicago, and no, this isn't the same as getting it fresh in the city, but it is by far the best frozen pizza and if you like deep dish pizza Chicago-style, it's a lifeline. They come on dry ice so they arrive frozen every time. They cook easily and they are a perfect size for the two of us. Not too much, not too little. Best of all, they are actually cheaper than ordering local delivery and they are always just waiting for you there in the freezer. Perfect in about an hour, no future planning required. Also, it's nice they come in packs of six, because our kids freezer shop every time they visit. Nice to be able to make their day with a couple and still have reserves. Totally worth it.

I can’t say enough about the pizza it’s amazing! The sauce is freshly chopped tomatoes; you can add things to the pizza before cooking but it’s not necessary. I have ordered many times, just sent some to my son… they are easy to cook and wonderful to eat. Additionally, the customer service at Lou Malnati’s is as good as the pizza, something we don’t see very often in todays world. They believe in good old fashioned customer service and, within reason, the customer is always right.

For my first one, I thawed it overnight in the fridge. Cooked it; terrible. The center tasted good, the rest was poor. The last three I cooked still frozen at 425 degrees for 45 minutes. Excellent, I'll buy this again. very tasty!

They are small pizzas, but so good! The tomato sauce tastes like garden tomatoes, so fresh! I continually order them. Not quite as good as getting one at the restaurant in Chicago, but almost. My favorite!

Do you or have you BEEN to Lou Malnati's for a hot pizza? Well... consider yourself blessed. There, yes THERE, you WOULD likely loved the meal. Many a food product is transportable and remains of high quality with 99% of the intended flavor - frozen pies from Munati's do NOT fall under this rule. It was expensive to purchase and while they DID all things possible to insure quality in transit, it is no where near having the real deal served after the wait. SORRY to a wonderful family business and people who works to offer these blasts from the past - but for those not willing to chance long journeys to the Windy, this qualifies as a wonderful memory of a City which was vibrant and full of awesome (and diverse) eateries. Go Cubs!
