This henna is amazing! I have reddish brown hair naturally, and this gave me the perfect red. I did a 3:1 ratio of liquid to henna to make a smooth paste. I used a plastic bowl with a lid to mix this up, you can freeze any unused mixture for later so this makes it easy to store. I used a half cup of henna mixed with 1 cup of warm water and a half cup of coffee. Mix that all together trying to get as many of the lumps out as you can. Then I added about a tablespoon of lemon juice, the acid really smooths out your mixture. Let this mixture sit for 8 hours to let the dye develop. Next apply to your hair making sure to saturate every strand. Put on a plastic shower cap and wrap a towel on top. I let this sit for about four hours then rinsed it out. I didn’t use any shampoo, just a deep conditioner. After towel drying my hair I brushed in a dollop of deep conditioner and left it on overnight. I’m very happy with how it turned out! You won’t be disappointed in this henna, it’s inexpensive but still high quality.

I love this henna. I use it sparingly on my natural hair where grays are coming in (at the crown mostly - see picture, which is the second day after application) and it gives me a natural-looking highlight and blends in with the rest of my hair. I don’t have to correct the color because it looks natural, and I love that I don’t have to put any chemicals on my hair. I actually used to use henna in my teens to color my hair and it really suits my green eyes and fair complexion. I then went natural for over 20 years and now that my grays are coming in, I’m back to using it. I apply it every 6 weeks only on my grays, with a toothbrush, and it doesn’t fade away. I only reapply it on the fresh gray areas.

Dyed my gfs hair w/ this, had a little left over I decided to use for my hair. Have applied it to her twice now, first time lasted about three months before she wanted to "top it off" by just hitting some grays that were coming in at the top of her head. This bag could last for a year if you're doing that route (4oz first time and 1~oz subsequent times) as long as you're cool w/ changing the ratios of everything. Of course, add the right amount of lemon juice and if you want to avoid drying your hair out too much also add some fenugreek in. You can find more info out on those but here's a guide I put together after watching some YT vids so I don't forget what I did the first time (guide is for 4oz of henna, which should be enough for most ladies complete hair). Step 1: Prepare the Fenugreek Decoction • Start with a clean iron pan, as the iron helps make the final dye deeper and more long-lasting. • Pour 400 ml (about 2 cups) of water into the pan. • Add 1.5 to 2 tablespoons of fenugreek seeds. • Let the mixture simmer together on medium to low heat for 10 to 12 minutes. • Turn off the heat, let the mixture cool down until it is lukewarm and then strain the liquid. • Add 1 to 2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice directly into the lukewarm fenugreek liquid. Henna's dye molecule (lawsone) needs a slightly acidic medium to release properly, so this ensures the acidity is perfectly balanced. Step 2: Mix the Henna Paste • Place 100g of pure quality henna powder into a bowl. • Gradually pour the room temperature, lemon-infused fenugreek liquid into the henna powder a little at a time while stirring continuously. Pour slowly, you may not need every drop of the liquid depending on exactly how much it reduced and you don't want it to be too drippy or you'll regret it when it's leaking from your shower cap. It may still leak a bit anyway and it is important it isn't too dry - practice makes perfect. • Mix until you achieve a smooth, yogurt-like paste that isn't too runny or too thick. • Cover the bowl and let it rest at room temperature for 10 to 12 hours (I aim for 10 but usually ends up being 11) to allow the dye to fully release and oxidize. Step 3: Application • Start with clean, dry hair. Ensure there is no buildup, conditioner, or styling products on your scalp. • Divide your hair into small, manageable sections to ensure an even application. • Using a brush or your fingers, apply the henna paste directly to your roots, making sure your scalp and strands are fully coated. Work the paste all the way down to the ends of your hair until fully saturated. • Gather your hair into a loose bun and cover it with a shower cap or plastic wrap to retain warmth and moisture, which is essential for processing. • Leave the henna in your hair for 3-4 hours. Step 4: Rinsing and Aftercare • Rinse the henna out thoroughly using only plain, lukewarm water until the water runs clear. • **Do not** use shampoo or conditioner at this stage, as the natural plant dye continues to oxidize and deepen even after rinsing. • Gently towel dry your hair. • Wait until the next day to wash your hair with a mild shampoo for the best results.

Work well and naturally to add address gray hair. Easy to process.

Pure henna. I could tell right away by the color, texture of power and smell. I mixed it with cassia for my hair. It does all the normal things that henna does for hair, stains it and doesn't come off, is very bright the first week or two and then calms down a little after a few washes but remains in hair. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because it is very orange and that might be because I added cassia or it may be the henna. All the types I've used in the past come out a little darker and more copper less orange.

Fast shipping! Great price and results. Easy to use. Colors grey hair. I slowly added hot water to the powder and mixed until I got a thick pudding consistency (left the lumps in). Let it sit covered on the counter for 2-3 hours, then smoothed onto clean hair and covered with a plastic cap for 2 hours then rinsed with warm water until the water ran clear and followed with conditioner. Leftover henna paste can be stored in the freezer until next use. Very satisfied with the results and will definitely purchase again. Added before and after pics :)

Great natural hair dye. Mix it with coffee and I get a nice golden brown look.

I've been using this product for years. It covers my Grey's and strengthens with a little added bonus of color(redish orange) which I love. I would recommend it for people who don't want to use dyes. I'm a natural girly,and this product brings back your texture after all of the things with heat styling. With several uses from one package,economical choice as well. Before I forget use gloves when applying because henna stains orange unless your into that😊
