With the vitamix, it was completely liquefied. That's a big plus for me especially when individuals in my family don't like to taste what they are drinking. I was able to blend avocados, zucchini, cucumbers, etc into smoothies and the husband and kids ate it up. Perfect way to sneak in vegetables. There is a downside to this machine. The blend's suction is incredible. That's a plus but also a negative especially when you are trying to take it apart and clean it. I have to either have my husband open it up for me or use a wooden spoon and use it as a leverage to open it. Another downside is the blending cup. It's a great idea... however... it's small. I wish it held more liquid. I don't really use the individual to go cup since i mostly drink them at home. I the other container is 48 oz but that's not really big enough if I want to make smoothie for all 3 of us because you can't actually fill it to 48 ozs. I wish this container was a little larger but it's perfect for making for just myself each morning! It's powerful and I love the spin dial.
