Bead Play Every Day: 20+ Projects with Peyote, Herringbone, and More Review: Exceptional Beadweaving Book; Give One to Every Beader You Know! - Great book! Wow! I was sincerely impressed with just how much information was jam-packed into these pages and the different design options afforded to me just by the addition of a few helpful tips from the author's own experiences. There are a tonne of structural diagrammes to show exactly how the components weave together, insight on how to keep transitions between different kinds of beads as fluid and cohesive as possible, different treatments and usages for the newest shaped and multi-holed beads, and a wealth of knowledge on how to best combine all of this knowledge into simple-yet-stunning projects. I did not expect to learn as much as I did from this book, and cannot believe the ease with which I acquired so many new technical skills. Thank you so much, Mz, Stone, for the invaluable contribution you've made to my beading library! I will be buying several more of these to give as gifts to my other beady friends. Review: Great ideas, fun projects - Ok, too much fun! I don't usually buy beading books because I find them repetitive and boring, but Beth Stone's book is full of cool ideas and techniques, not just patterns. All I want to do now is bead all day. Don't get me wrong, though; there are fun projects in here. I love the pictures and the diagrams are easy to follow. She gives lots of ideas that are great for using up those small collections of beads you have lying around. Admit it. You have lots of beads. That's why you're looking at this book. Buy it.

Woo hoo!
As enjoyable as books one and two! II hope that I don't have to wait so long for the next one 😄 (I jumped right in and designed something gorgeous using the "tri-stitch" and was so proud of myself. As I was writing the directions for a class, I tweaked the design and realized that I no longer had the tri-state, but some form of bizarro flat spiral? Or maybe an "fuller" (quatro) tri-stitch-yeah, that's what it was! Either way, it's gorgeous, I took care of most of the fire line showing issues and it's pure *BLING!* Yeah, baby 😄 Very happy me and amazingly happy class! (they are never happy! - - kudos to us!) Next stop: the inside out Daisy chain. Wish me luck. (Beth, don't know if you remember me from from way back when, Wolverine alumns)

Another Home Run!!
Beth hits it OUT OF THE PARK again! Beth thinks mathematically when it comes to beads and patterns. Mostly I love her explicit and repeated permission to try new ideas. One of my favorites is the "Do the Twist" variation. I like that the inner beads are at a right angle to the outer larger beads; much more interesting than the similar twisted herringbone. And it's fun to do! You can't go wrong with any of her books. I agree that her pieces tend to be elegant, understated, and unforgettable.

Everything I hoped for!
I learned bead weaving from Beth Stone's first two books. They continue to be my "go-to" source for techniques and inspiration. I was delighted to see that she had published another book and I was thrilled to see that it is every bit as strong a resource for technique and inspiration as the others. This book focuses on tubular construction and medallions (exactly what I wanted!). The instructions and diagrams are clear and easy to follow. I think this book is most appropriate for an beader with some experience in basic bead weaving skills. I hope Ms. Stone will continue to publish additional books.

Ready for something different and challenging? This is it!
This book is a little more advanced than most beginners might feel comfortable using. Even so, if you are determined, you can do it! Patterns use the basic techniques and then add a challenging beaded ball here and there. This is a great variation for a staid herringbone or even a peyote rope. Fun stuff!

Beth Stone is an Amazing ARTIST
I am blessed to know Beth and regard her as a sister of the heart. Years ago I picked up her first book I purchased and because I'm left handed was struggling with direction, I actually called her and after talking with her felt like I'd know her my whole life, she is an amazing ARTIST who is gracious, genuine, and wow, the art she produces inspiring, I'm proud to own all her books and to call her a friend. Thanks for creating and continuing to inspire me. Marlene Quigley

I am an experienced beader. Was looking forward to try some new projects... and I am very disappointed. It is one rope, with different elements and only very short, not very clear instructions (sometimes starting from the middle of the rope??? how to make triangles and more more triangles. The stitches are not called like in the "beading encyclopedia" - so it is additional confusion. I tried one stitch, which in fact I wanted to learn called by some an "African Polygon Stitch" - the explanation is so poor, that after making 5 tests I gave up. And I know almost all stitches - some of them learned just looking at the ready creation. So if you are new to beading - do not buy this book. Waste of money.
