Kind of fun and does help with sleep
Sooooo... Because of the pictures, I thought this was going to be quite a bit different than it is. I thought it was a solid piece of memory foam... something that isn't always comfortable to sleep on. I also thought it was going to be stiff and inflexible. In actuality, it's kind of like a pair of sweat pants sewn off at the waist and ankles and stuffed with pieces of shredded memory foam. I can feel all the little bumps of memory foam, but that doesn't take away from the comfort. Here's the real truth about this pillow. I tired to sleep with it the first day I got it, but the memory foam smell was so strong, it gave me a headache. So I tossed it on the loveseat in my office and used it for my regular pillow. Then I went on a trip and came back four days later. When I went to get it, the way it was arched across the loveseat cracked me up. It looked like someone had climbed over the love seat and got stuck with their butt in the air and their legs sprawled out over the cushions. Ever since, I look at this pillow and see the bottom half of a person with the part where your head goes being the butt and the part you cuddle being the legs. It makes me feel like I'm going to sleep with my head on someone's butt every night, which I find funny, but so far it's very comfortable. The smell had also greatly diminished after the four days I was gone. The "legs" are floppy and I can crisscross them and arrange them in a bunch of different ways to have back support when sitting up in bed. Thanks to this pillow, I was able to ditch my four usual pillows and now have more room on my bed. I do feel like I'm sleeping better and every day I sleep with it, I feel like my pronation is getting just a little bit better. I'm definitely keeping it. I say try it... If you don't like it, you can always send it back. Update May 13, 2023 So I’ve had this pillow for about two months now and the cover is starting to pill, which I don’t find comfortable. So I took a pair of super soft pajama pants and shoved the pillow into it…problem solved. Now I have a better look with the pillow, the fabric is super soft and it’s easier to remove and wash than the original case. So start looking for nice PJ pants ro shove this into if you buy it, preferably with an elastic waist that will help it stay on at the top of the pillow.

I almost made the biggest mistake of my life (well almost)
Final copy This is the preview that I wrote for the pillow I just bought. I get credits with Microsoft when I go and review a product. I haven’t spent all my rewards that I’ve received over the years yet. I’m letting it accumulate. But I finally found my favorite pillow. Below is my review and I put a picture of my pillow. ………… Some days we just need a hug and a box of chocolates. Even though this body pillow does not come with a box of chocolates, it sure does come with a big hug. I have had several Medicline wedges and body pillows and I’m only 5 foot 2 so they never really worked that well for me. So I ditched the body wedge and I kept the body pillow and it was good but you couldn’t adjust the sponge inside because there was no zipper. I would try jumping on it to get the sponge to move around the head part of the pillow and kneed it like a cat and it worked a little bit, but I was exhausted by the time I finished and it wasn’t the greatest. So when I saw that this pillow came with two zippers one for the case and one for the sponge, I wanted to try it out. But since I already had a big body pillow from Medcline, did I want to buy another huge body pillow? So I tried to cancel this pillow several times, but I couldn’t cancel it and I’m glad I didn’t and I’m glad I opened up the box and didn’t send it back. Because after I took it out the box and let it rise to its full potential I lay down on it. Over several weeks, I have ordered every pillow known to man on YouTube and I’ve sent them back and I was prepared to do so here. I even bought a deflator so I could deflate the air out of all of them and send them back but this time, I found the right pillow even though it looks like a Medcline body pillow. It was much softer and the pillow cover was much cooler. I’m a back sleeper and I’m also a side sleeper I lay on my back until I get good and sleepy and then when I’m ready to conk out, I lay on my right side so it was crucial that this pillow served me both ways It felt pretty comfortable laying on my back. It did need a little more stuffing around my head because our head is like the weight of a bowling ball so I opened up the pillow that held the sponge and I moved it around more towards the head and then I closed it and I closed the cover and then I tried it again and it was perfect. But now the main thing I wanted to see was if I could lay on my side and fall asleep. So I said here it goes and I turned over on my right side and I cuddled it and it surrounded me with the biggest hug that I ever had (from the front to the back.) I mean, I’ve never been hugged so tightly…. I was in love. I nestled into it like a little birdie into its nest, and I had to fight with myself to not fall asleep because it was only 6 o’clock at night and if I fell asleep now, I would not sleep the rest of the night so I forced myself to get up And couldn’t wait until bedtime. In some of the videos it didn’t look like much but you need to let it rise. You need to adjust (maybe) the sponge to the places that you want the most support which isn’t hard. But I’m sure that you won’t be disappointed Now go get a little box of chocolates, as you snuggle into You’re comfortable body pillow while you are enjoying the biggest hug of your life. I guess you know that I’m going to highly recommend this pillow right? Good night!

Nothing helps, but this tries!
Negatives first: My pelvis feels like it's breaking if I lay on my side, even with a side between my knees. It doesn't offer the right kind of support for under my heavy little basketball belly, so I have to cram a little wedge of blanket under that to relief back strain. Is the other side suppose to offer back support??? I have tried to get it positioned to do so, but I get too out of breath and end up messing up part of my elaborate nest set up. Then... after I get it all settled and start getting sleepy, it's time to get up and go pee. I can't roll my whale belly over a speed bump to get off the bed. So grunting and hiccups and a struggle begin, waking my husband up every single time. I do sometimes just flip the side up towards my head of bed to get out, but then I have to redo my under belly blanket support that was so carefully positioned. More of the negative; the pillow is very pliable to put in whatever position, but I am constantly hearing the thread in the seams popping. Probably because if I'm trying to move it but also struggling to move myself chances are part of me is on the pillow somewhere so I pull against it and the seams rip a little. No holes present though! Now the good! The cover comes off easily and washes fine and easy to put back on. I and swing a side toward the middle and make a little donut hole and sleep on my stomach. Although I still have to put a king size comforter on over that set up so I can cram a little more or less support just where needed. When stomach sleeping, I sleep on top of the pillow, so my shoulder falls above the "head" of this pillow so it feels less smashed, and I have 1 or 2 pillows that my head is on above that. And... now that we are to the reflux escaping my mouth while sleeping stage of pregnancy, my 5 pillows at the head of bed are set up, then this thing. It goes with the "head" part to act as my lumbar support in front of the regular pillow wall that I recline onto. Then, the sides flip up on top of the pillow pile and it's like a little bit of a cradle effect to keep me in place. Then I throw a big fluffy comforter on it so it fills in whatever little areas need a little bit of tweaking and easy to move head support for sleeping or tv watching. When like this, I am also able to turn onto my side, though still at about a 55 degree incline. In the final weeks of my pregnancy, I am now finding that I sometimes prefer the pillow mountain with the head of this thing AND a side to act as lumbar support to keep the back straighter so I dont wake up with bruised ribs from the kid sleeping up under there. The other side/arm of the pillow curves around and is under the bottom of my butt, almost like it is keeping me from sliding down. Or maybe it's actually doing that. I dont know. While all of these little tricks help make me comfortable, they do nothing to calm the spastic child down or decrease urinary frequency, so my sleep is still terrible in general. But this maybe does help me get a good 3 hours at the beginning.. After that it's just a game of "which nest style works best right now". I did not use one of these with my first 3 kids. I wouldn't have needed one for the first. Might have liked it for the 2nd. It would have been helpful for the 3rd. And everything is apparently hopeless with the 4th. I think i'll like this thing when not pregnant better. And I have contemplated several times having 2 of these, but ultimately decided this works well for a support base style, then the fluffy pillows and blankets need to be added for your body to melt into. If I were deciding between different styles and brands, I would buy this one again.

Life Changing
I really love that I went out on a whim and purchased this pillow. I have had a very hard time over the last couple of years finding a comfortable mattress that supports my back. I have went through several mattresses in the last 4 years and still to this day have not found one that gives me the support I need. I sit at a desk all day so I really don't know why I have such a hard time sleeping and the mattresses that I purchased are not cheap either. So.........THIS PILLOW IS EVERYTHING. The first night I had it I slept like a baby. This pillow allows me to sleep in several different positions, even positions that if I sleep in them I wake up in pain. The pillow is soft, but sturdy. It is big enough for 2 people. It opens wide and my boyfriend and I sleep in/on it comfortably. I think it is a nice pillow for couples who like to cuddle. I can say that I am very pleased with my purchase and wish I would have purchased several mattresses ago. It's amazing how much of a difference this pillow makes. I could have saved thousands if I only had purchased it sooner. I highly recommend this pillow to anyone who is having a hard time find a mattress or someone who needs some extra support to sleep.

Soft, comfortable, does not overheat me, but...
I put out a LOT of heat, and a lot of foam pillows out there will absorb that heat and radiate it back to me. Incredibly frustrating... This one has yet to do that to me, thankfully. It doesn't necessarily stay COOL, but it definitely doesn't make me uncomfortable. It's nice and soft and I like it for being a U shape because I flip a lot in my sleep and when I'm trying to get comfy so it's nice to have it on both sides of me, it helps keep me from sleeping on my back. The U bend in the pillow has a very TIGHT seam on it. Carrying it to my bed was like carrying a wire over my shoulder with weights tied to the ends. Obv I don't sleep like that, but the point I'm getting at is that the seam is high tension. That high tension seam doesn't like how mobile I am in my sleep, or even how I wake up, as I have heard it popping and tearing many times inside of the pillow case. (The pillow case is fine, btw, its seam is very nice.) Either the seam should have had elastic sewn in such a way that it can take people shoving their shoulder into it, or... just more like the seam in the pillow case. As it is, now, I can never take the pillow case off of it lest I spill the foam innards all over the place. Thanks to that, I'm sure it will eventually start to get a little dingy. I'll do surface cleans until I have to replace it but I doubt I'll buy this one, again.

Severe Insomniac with Chronic Pain
have a condition called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS). Basically my collagen is built wrong in my body which makes my connective tissue super stretchy and breakable. I dislocate and sublex (partial dislocation) by doing the most simple of things. I’ve dislocated my hip walking across a room and my shoulders are permanently dislocated at this point, but I used to have to reset them every morning. Even before the onset of this condition (commonly shows up most severely in your 20’s), I’ve been a severe chronic insomniac since I was 10yr old. I’ve been on every medication in the box and the only one that’s touched me is Ambien (don’t worry I don’t sleep walk/eat/drive). When the pain and easy injuries started no matter what I did I couldn’t fall asleep comfortably and if I did I’d wake in so much pain with several joints out of place. Then I got a pregnancy pillow. My life changed! I could keep my hips, shoulders and knees evenly apart and if I rolled over I’d have the same shaped pillow on that side too so I didn’t have to wake up to reposition anything anymore. Add in the Ambien to get me to sleep in the first place and what a difference! My service dog sleeps with me now and despite having 3/4 of a long mattress to lay on, he comes over and puts his head on my pillow to the point I have to move lol It should be said that I’m single and have no foreseeable plans to change that lol I add that in because I would feel super bad if I had a partner cause this pillow would kill any form of ‘love life’ lmao I choose you giant pillow! I had to spend every other week in Boston several years ago for a medical treatment. Every single week I’d load this massive thing back and forth from CT to MA. I got looks and stares and some people asked “are you moving in?” but all I did was smile cause I knew I’d me sleeping better than they would be!

I freaking LOVE it!!!
So, I've had 2 of these bc my son stole the first.. they do have one little down side. The stitching can and will rip in the U bend. I usually just get an extra case to go on so the "inside one" can keep stuffing in. But this is stupid, ridiculously comfy!! Not even pregnant, but do have some joint hypermobility. Amazing!! Can't say it enough.

Fabric tore within 2 weeks of gentle use
I had seen in reviews that the inner material was prone to tearing and so I was very gentle and careful with my U pillow, but still the inner curve of the U tore within 2 weeks. I could feel right away that there was a lot of tension on that inner curve, even when not in use... it needs design improvement, either reinforcement or better fabric. Right now I've got the tear and entire curve duct taped to strengthen it. The little foam chunks also compress a bit and need to be "fluffed" every once in a while, but other than those 2 issues I do still love my U pillow. It supports me and helps me to prevent SI joint and lower back pain. I use mine the opposite way, my head at the open end on my own small soft pillow (my neck issues could never take a full foam firm pillow like this) and the U end under my knees... it keeps my legs, knees, hips aligned and is really comfy and cozy to sleep in my little nest! And when I roll over onto my side during the night I can snuggle the long ends like a body pillow. The idea is great but this product does need some improvements to receive 5 stars from me

Can't sleep without it
I've had this pillow for a few months now, maybe a year. I had a C-shaped pillow first but I was always fighting to free my legs as I switch sides a lot, so got this one to try. I mostly got it, as I could never quite beat my standard pillow into submission to go where I needed it, and I tried all kinds of pillows before, cheap, super expensive, foam, bamboo, goose feather, you name it, I've tried it. I was always waking up with a sore neck or shoulders, as I like to sleep with my arms under the pillow. It took me about 2-3 weeks to get the volume of this to perfection (I removed whole bunch of stuffing in the area where I thought it was too high, so don't expect it to be perfect from the start). It has not lost it's shape, though once I think I moved the stuffing from one side to the other, but it definitely has not gotten soft, lumpy or worn out. I remove the cover to wash and have to fight with it to go back on a bit, lol, I wish the zipper for removing the stuffing was longer, as the opening is rather small, but you only do it a few times (I should say I removed enough to make a new pillow lol). I absolutely love it, it gives great support on all sides, I occasionally sleep with my arms over my head so my shoulders often would hurt by being overextended, but now it doesn't happen (as the pillow supports them on every side), plus this pillow keeps you nicely hugged on both sides without being too hot, but nicely protected if you like to kick off the sheets at night. Would highly recommend it. I should also mention that I picked this pillow because I wanted a cotton cover (can't imagine sleeping on something like velvet, just me though).
