Bought this at @$75, not realizing that it was a discontinued older item. It is missing a number of more modern features, but aligns with our needs-- we use it to power a POE camera and connect 6 other devices at a remote rental home. Obviously a managed switch would be better as it would allow us to power cycle specific ports or diagnose some issues remotely, however we have another device that can remotely power cycle the entire switch/modem/router. This switch has is well built and has worked without any issues for the past six months, it doesn't get hot even when all ports are in use and one is powering a POE camera several hundred feet away. It's not feature packed, but is reliable.

I have an advanced router with mesh satellites,and my old switch was having regular problems that interrupted my internet connection way too frequently. I replaced my old switch with this Cisco switch, and it worked right away with no need to manage it or configure it. It handles around 30 devices regularly, and some of the devices have sub devices. It has been rock solid.

Love it! It's portable enough to fit in my bag with all my other tech geek gadgets and seems to work flawlessly. I purchased it to connect more than one computer on my tech table at the local Community Theater. I specifically went with a Cisco brand since the (lighting) system it will primarily connect to already utilizes 2 larger Cisco network switches, one in the basement, one in the balcony, and now a mini one on my table!

These are nice little switches but I pull back a star because of the firmware. I use the 200/300/500 line in my work all the time. All the other 200's use the same firmware except this little guy. It has not been updated in a long time. Its not a big deal because it does what I need it to do but it would be nice if it was aligned with the rest

I'm very impressed with this desktop switch I have tested this with the netgear pro switch and by far kick's netgear you know what for backbone speed. read and write is 100% I'm pushing data,voip and cctv IP HD cams thinking it was my 500ft PTP wireless link 5.0GHz but it turns out that it was my backbone speed I had a feeling because I was not getting any bit error's in my ptp link, so to make a long story short I replace my Netgear ProSAFE GS105Ev2. with the Cisco switch etc..! and not one bit error it's been up and running for 1 week now. 100% up and running. Spend a little more and you get soooooooooooooo much back.

. Came on time and as expected. A little pricier than standard Chinese $10 junk switches that are hit or miss arrangement. Nice features for unmanaged switch. It works very well so far. Operates cool and I rated 5 stars in anticipation of long trouble free life. I have found that Cisco switches are usually high quality and reliable..

These have issues, at least the Q2 2016 batch. After 48 hours the port 3 link light turns on solid green, even if nothing is plugged in to the port, and the switch stops forwarding packets. Search the Cisco Support Community for more details and examples. American Telecom Headquarters did their usual fantastic customer service job and swapped them out for 8-ports. So buy the 8 port versions, they are solid and only a few dollars more.

This only has 4 ports of POE. Be sure to search the part number on Cisco's page before purchasing. I wanted 8 ports of POE but only got four. Now I have to buy another switch.

So I ordered the POE version of this switch so that it may power my Cisco WAP. This way I did not need a power injector. However even though the switch can provide enough power as a whole for the WAP, it can not provide enough on an individual port so when the WAP powered up only the 2.4 band came up and the 5 was disabled. I still had to buy and use a power injector. I have used this line of switches for a long time and am very pleased with them. I just wish I knew the POE restrictions on it, since now they are not used. The company was great to deal with and I have since made a second purchase from them. In fact I bought the Power Injector from them. Would most certainly buy from this company again. I also rated the WiFi at 0 for this item, since this switch has no wifi? Not sure why it even came up.
