Camera Floor Lamp

This one of a kind Vintage table lamp is very unique and quite a conversation piece when used with a warm Edison Vintage Bulb. The lamps are packaged and shipped in styrofoam and assembly is a breeze with only a butterfly nut to attach lamp to tripod. I am impressed with the quality and hardware used for these lamps, they are engineered/designed with awesome workmanship! I love the style of this light however the bulb needs to be small so you don;t see a bright bulb. The look is great and I love it. It looks expensive in the room.

As other reviews have noted you are not going to brighten up a whole room for these. They are more about bringing that industrial aesthetic to the table than being functional tesk lighting. I bought three of these )two like this and one of the table top models to bring that look into a home library setting. Because they are so adjustable I was able to create a sophisticated look in the room that highlights certain areas and objects. Then I paired them with a discreet torchier from ambient light. Also I was impressed with how sturdy and well constructed they are. I assumed they would be fairly flisy decorative objects. The legs are solid wood and all fixtures are metal and fit tightly. Paired with Edison bulbs they really drive home that vintage industrial look I was going for.

What can I say, look at the picture. It's sturdy and well constructed. I have a theater room and this was the "final touch." There are very few people who don't think it is the coolest decoration in the room (and this room is decked out with other things that cost much more.) I resisted buying because I thought the quality would likely not warrant the price. I was wrong. This is a quality lamp. I have no idea why the review asks about a remote control. There isn't one. There is a switch and it's on the power cord. Mine is on a timer so it comes on in the evening and stays on until after I've gone to bed. I'm also only running a 32 wat bulb in it because I wanted it to illuminate a corner of the room not throw a spot light. I'm pretty confident if you put a proper bulb in it you would get the spotlight effect with no trouble.

seems well made, wood and metal. Have no idea what the wattage limit is though. Amazon info says 60 watt, included instructions say 150 watt max, and the lamp itself says Max 40 watt. Quite a difference. 40 watt makes it unusable for a reading lamp, unlike 60 or 150... Included information says several times "contact customer service" with questions, yet there's no company name or any comtact information, so that's impossible...

I love the look of this lamp. The lamp, with its recommended bulb shines right into your eyes though if it is facing out into a room. Even if the head lamp is positioned as far down as it will go, it will be shining into your eyes if placed facing out into the room. There isn't the same effect for shielded surrounding light. If you face it towards a wall you can more or less get round the outward glare issue. It can highlight artwork on a wall and still have light spill into the room. What would be a nice additional part to include is something that could cover the opening where the light leaks out. I will be keeping my purchase. I intended to buy another if I liked this one but the having to face it towards the wall changed my mimd. It's not a soft illumination into the room. I find it working as a bounce light into the room instead. Very attractive stand and the lamp head lends an authentic feel. Photographers will find it fun.

Light looks great and is very sturdy and heavy which means good quality! Love the look!
