This one is made from coconut shells. Although I didn’t actually receive the product, due to a delivery error, I did a lot of reading up and researching as to how to eliminate the smell from a product I was intent on using, and which one would be the best, out of the various activated charcoal products out there. This product was priced competitively, and it fit my budget suitably. Removing the odor from the material I was working with would have ended up being a fairly complicated beginner’s chemistry product, involving a vacuum flask filtering of the charcoal, since I wanted to remove the odor from a carrier oil. This is a really good charcoal powder comparitively, it's clean and fine ground. I was using it to detox from some mold exposure and help alleviate some digestive issues. It worked pretty well I think, I definitely felt a little bit of detox before feeling better. It has a clean taste, but warning to not mix this in a plastic container with your drink. If I put it in my water bottle it has a sulfur flavor, but mixed in a glass or ceramic cup it was flavorless. Strange, but same water, somehow it leeches something from the plastic I'm guessing, it happened in a plastic cup too. I particularly chose the coconut shell because of its ability to absorb better and I have issues with bamboo.
