The sturdy metal bracket fastens over any door, and the weight bag is calibrated from 2 lbs. To 20 lbs.; easy to fill with ordinary tap water. Kit includes: head halter, padded and adjustable; metal spreader Bar; metal door bracket; door hanger and two pulleys; section of rope; water weight bag.

Review: Works fine but.... - We ordered this so we could do traction at home instead of paying $200 per visit to the PT department at the hospital. Our therapist told us what to buy and this was the best price. We were told to use only 12 lbs of water at first. This was challenging because the water makers on this bag are not accurate. They have to be accurate for traction. You can not be over or under the right amount of weight. I wanted to weigh the bag so I could get it right but I could not get the bag to stay still enough for that. It would just fall of the scale! We estimated the weight of water per gallon and added water until it was right. You can tell if it is right when you use the device. Once that was right, it seemed the extension arm kept popping loose out of the hole that it is supposed to rest in. It makes a loud noise and this is no fun when this happens while your head is in traction. Eventually this resolved itself and the arm stays where it is supposed to now. This is a two man job. There is no way you could safely do this by yourself. You can tell if the chin strap is in the right position because it hurts if it is not. We did place the bag of water in a plastic pail so we could avoid any leaks. You do have to use this over a metal door. We have been using this for six months and it is easier now. It looks really barbaric but it works. We are up to 17 lbs and it seems to work fine.

**Q: I have read that at least 12 lbs should be used for 15 minutes per session. is this correct?  how many sessions per day or week?**
A: My physical therapist uses 15 lbs on almost everyone. I've had up to 20 lbs on my neck during therapy. I use 16 lbs at home though, just to be safe cause it's my neck, you know :)

**Q: Is the head halter padded?**
A: It has a little padding.  Enough to be comfortable.

**Q: Where can I get a larger neck brace    11 to 14**
A: I don't know other than a medical store

**Q: I need a larger head harness the one i purchased don't fit**
A: I have a large head too and had no problem. Hat size 7-1/2.

If you have any back problems you will find this simple and easy to use system to fix 99.99% of back problems do to improper poster.
