I just received mine and the light did not work. Disappointed. What do I do next?

Thanks for sharing with us, and we're happy to shed some light on this for you. Our Basic Tap Water Filter Systems have a color wheel as a filter replacement indicator versus a light like some of our other models. With the color wheel, you won't see a flashing green light. Instead, there's a solid green color showing your filter is working when switching to the filtered setting. Once the filter is set into place on the base, the green color can become faint. Feel free to take out the filter and press the silver filter release button inside the base unit to see the green color more vibrantly. When it's almost time to replace your filter, you'll see the color wheel change to a half green and half red setting. Your filter is still working fine; this is just a warning period to let you know that you have about 20 gallons left on your filter. When switching to the filtered Brita water setting, the indicator will appear solid red when your filter needs to be replaced.
