A fun, inexpensive toy
This is really a fun little device! I bought it on a whim for a friend with a big playful dog. Image resolution is on par with an early-2000s webcam, but the intent of this camera is not to take SLR-quality images. It's just a fun, cheap camera with the electronics needed to take sequential photos. At its low price point, it's definitely worthwhile to try.

This thing is HUGE and doesnt work very well.
the camera is HUGE and will only work for large dogs, certainly not cats. The pictures are also very dark and grainy, we really didn't get any usable images despite using the camera often. I would not recommend or buy this item.

Works as intended
Pros: Works as I thought it would Takes pics from 5min, 10min, or 15min. Cons: Pretty big, was going to strap it onto my cat but, didn't want to die in my sleep. P.S. This can take anywhere from around 40 pictures to almost 200. The amount depends on how bright the area around the camera is. I.E. if its pitch black the camera will hold more pictures, if its a bright sunny day then it will hold the least amount. This happens due to the darker pictures being smaller and the brighter pictures being larger. Disclaimer:This is based on my own experience.

and better then the last pet cam I purchased
This runs on regular batteries, and takes about 27 somewhat low resolution pictures. The only way to view them is to connect it to your computer. More durable then I thought, and better then the last pet cam I purchased. I purchased this one to attach to a balloon. It proved a little to heavy for a balloon or most cats, but after multiple tries managed to get it aloft on a kite on a very windy day, yielding some slightly blurry but fun photos. It should be easy for most dogs to carry.

Four Stars- at first.
Wonderful, but certainly a toy. I purchased this as a present for my father- we have very active dogs that will disappear for hours into the woods and we thought it would be neat to see what was going on. I purchased this knowing it was a toy, has no flash, and does not work in low light conditions. That's fine; the pictures were surprisingly clear and it was just fun to see what our mutts saw. In fact, two or three of the photos came out well enough that I had them printed! One of our dogs may be cut out to be a puparizzi (ha ha ha- I hate myself for that one). However, we were so happy and pleased! It worked well enough for an eight-buck toy camera and we could laugh at the photos. Cut to four months later. The camera started to constantly fall off collars. Ok, we just bought a special collar and secured it with tape, glue, and hope. Wouldn't recommend doing that, by the way- the whole clip could just snap off. But alright, one problem down. Then, the camera slowly stopped working. We had to keep putting it on the 1 minute setting and clearing it off right away when it got full. When we tried the five minute setting, it took seven photos then blinked like it was full. Ok, let's just try the 15 minute setting. One of our dogs sported it during the Easter egg hunt; two photos came out. The camera read as full- but only two pics. That dog was everywhere with the kids, playing. The kids would pose when the red light flashed, hamming it up. We were pretty excited about it all. So when two pictures (of the car ride back) where the only things on the memory, I was probably a little more disappointed than the situation called for. So was the dog. The last time we tried it, no pictures took. And yes- I changed the batteries a few times, just to make sure it was ok. Eventually, the little red light just remained on all the time, not blinking to indicate pictures or battery life or memory. So... Broken. Is it the end of the world? Nah. We had fun with it. It worked pretty well for only seven different times, however- then broke. Is it a rip-off? No, not overly. Will I buy another? No- at least not this brand. It's a fun toy, a novel idea, and if you buy it for nine dollars it's not that bad. But I won't recommend a product that tears up so soon.

great for the money
for $13 (shipping included) this was a great purchase. simply to set up and use. I use it on my cat and its a little on the bulky side so the cat walked a little funny (which was almost funny enough to make the whole purchase worth it). most of the pictures are random and some are blurry, but there are a few good ones in the mix that definitely made it worth it. I got a great shot of my scaredy German Shepard cowering in the face of my ferocious cat. so I love it. would be a great purchase for kids who have dogs and cats, they would get a kick out of it :)

good for a laugh
Pros: Easy-to-use, easy-to-follow instructions, good for a laugh, holds a decent amount of pictures, quiet (no snapping sound when taking pictures), can be used for about ten hours (if using the 15-minute interval on pics) Cons: A tad heavy for cats or small dogs (but perfect for larger dogs), USB cable is laughably short (about 6"), that LED light will creep you out at night (is that a one-eyed demon staring at me?), can only be used for about an hour (if using the 1-minute interval on pics) Overall: A cute little toy to find out what Spot or Mr. Kitty is up to while you're at work or asleep. But, that's just what it is: a toy. This is by no means a GoPro camera, so don't expect video or high-quality pictures that will make you an internet star. It runs on AAA batteries which, I'm assuming, it will eat up quicker than a fat kid eats cake. Just be sure to remember that you've got this thing installed on your pet before you go parading around the house without any pants. THEN you might end up an internet star. But, I still wouldn't count on it.
