Truly A Great Knife
If you've been thinking about buying the Esee 6, wait no longer. I wrestled with spending what I did for it, but once I held it in my hand, I immediately felt like a got a wonderful deal. You can tell that there is a tremendous amount of thought placed on the quality control over at Esee. The fit and finish is absolutely perfect, it has almost perfect balance, and feels amazing in hand. From a performance standpoint, the Esee 6 has a nice 5.75" cutting edge, with 6.5" of 1095 steel from handle to tip. It is 3/16" thick and sharp as a razor right out of the box. Given those specs, one can see that this blade was made for cutting stuff, and it does can well. I've made fire sticks, now drills and simple shelters with it, then turn around process a fish without a problem. I would consider this a wonderful "Jack of All Trades" knife. The way it was built gives you the ability to slide back on the handle, which transfers most of the knife weight forward, and generate more chopping power. Additionally, the design provides the ability to slide up on the handle, where you are shortening the blade at the center of weight distribution, which allows you to gain control of the blade for finer tasks. Their are knives out there for all walks of life and needs. I am 6'3", and wear a size XXL glove. This KnifeWorks well for me... I EDC the Esee 3, which was purchased as a result of how much I like the Esee 6, and it also feels great in hand and performs well. If I had to do over, I would have purchased this knife, from what looks like a typo above, a year ago when I first started thinking about it. It gets to go out and play every time I go, while all the other 9 knives stay home. Stay safe my friends!

A Beast of a Survival Knife at an Approachable Price
Not sure if I can say anything more than what thousands of other reviewers have said - this knife is a solid USA made survival knife that is perfect for a backwoods camping load out. Not cheap but you get a lot of steel for what you pay, and there are much more expensive options out there.

Great blade
Great blade overall. Came razor sharp out the box. I've never owned a carbon steel knife that's prone to rust but so far no complaints at all. Plus the sheath is adaptable for right or left handed users.

If you could have just one knife...
Outstanding. Love the knife. My new go-to for hunting and camping. If I could have just one six inch fixed blade, this would be it. Some folks complain about the polymer sheath, but I like the retention and easy on/off of the belt clip.

Great quality knife
Very sharp out the box and built to last. When holding it in your hand, you can feel the quality.

One of my best knives over all.
These knives are pricey, no getting around that, however they are insanely high quality. I take mine camping, hiking, backpacking... so on. I have used it to baton wood, debone fish, cut rope and cords, and yes simple things like prepare dinner at camp or even just cut up a block of cheese. I have had mine for about a year and a half and it is still going strong. It holds an edge better than most I have seen, even after using it to split enough wood for a fire for the full night it was still razor sharp. One of the best "camping gear" buys I have ever made. I will say when it does eventually come time to sharpen it, save yourself some time and just take it somewhere and have them sharpen it. Doing it on a hand sharpener or wet stone will take you hours (at least for me it did). It is a little big, I wear it on my belt or just keep it tossed in a bag until I need it, but it definitely isn't a pocket knife or easily hidden. It doesn't bother me much, most the time I use it is in the woods when camping on hiking where it is completely normal to see someone with a fixed blade knife on them.

Best knife I have ever owned.
Love the blade, steel, and handle. But I gave it an over all 4 star because if the coatung on the blade. I know I know. It lrotects your blade from rusting. BUT if you taje proler care of your blade, they won't rust. I shoukd know. I own several types of blades from Katanas and Highland Basket Hilt Broad Swords to axes and Scottish Dirks to name a few.

A BEAST of a knife!
I did a lot of research before buying the Esee 6 and I was rewarded with this beast of a knife. Solid. Heavy. Sharp. Keeps a good edge and you can beat the living carpe diem out of it! Great chopper, slicer, batoner. I also use it for gardening! Ha! The handle plates feel very nice in hand but are flat-sided. Can easily be replaced with some more contoured ones so it fits more roundly/naturally in hand. I have a friend who did this and it is great but I kinda prefer the flat stock handle slabs for now. Sheath securely holds the knife and has adjustable tension with a quick Allen key adjustment. Wonโt fall out even when mounted upside down. Lots of accessories available if you want to molle mount it. Would buy again but have a feeling I wonโt need to.
