Keyless2Go Replacement for Keyless Entry Car Key Fob Vehicles That Use 3 Button KOBLEAR1XT 15042968 Remote, Self-programming

My OEM remote for my 2002 Chevy Silverado LS has the code KOBLEAR1XT which this remote was supposed to be a match for. Indeed it was! It worked no problem, was easy to program, and I’ve had no issues with it. I followed these instructions to program, which were NOT included with the remote: Obtain all remote transmitters for this vehicle. This procedure will erase all previously programmed remotes. You must program all existing and new remotes that you wish to use on the vehicle at this time. CLOSE all doors. INSERT key into the ignition. PRESS and HOLD the power UNLOCK button on driver’s side door panel. DO NOT release until instructed to do so in Step 5. Quickly TURN the Ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF. (ON is the position just shy of starting your vehicle, OFF is the position where you can remove your key) RELEASE the power UNLOCK button on the Driver’s side door panel. The vehicle should respond by locking and unlocking automatically. (A) If locks cycle then CONTINUE to Step 6. (B) If the door locks begin to LOCK and UNLOCK BEFORE releasing the unlock button then the vehicle has not entered Programming Mode and you must START OVER. REMOVE key, OPEN door and RETURN to Step 1. (C) If the vehicle continues to LOCK and UNLOCK before releasing the UNLOCK button then there is a problem with the vehicle’s system and remotes must be programmed by a certified professional. If you are unable to get the door locks to cycle then you are turning the key too quick, too slow, there’s a problem with the vehicle’s system, or the vehicle is not equipped with a factory keyless entry system. HOLD the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote at the same time until door locks cycle again. This could take up to 30 seconds. Now REPEAT Step 6 for all additional remotes to be programmed, including working ones. After Step 6 has been performed for all remotes TURN ignition to ON to exit programming mode. TURN ignition to OFF, and remove key. Test all remotes. Programming is complete.

So suprised this actually worked!! i lost the instructions or i made a mistake and threw it out with the packaging. but thanks to the amazon product reviews i was able to find help setting mine to work. Very easy install i got it done by my 2nd attempt. How to program yourself: 1) Stick the key into the ignition. 2) Make sure all doors are closed. 3) Wait till your door lights turn off automatically. 4) Press and hold the "Unlock" button on the drivers door. 5) While holding the "Unlock" button on the drivers door, turn the key all the way to the "On" position(the position just before you start the car) and then turn it off completely, then to On again, and back to off completely again. 6) Let go of the "Unlock" button. 7) Almost instantly, the car should automatically lock and then unlock to signal that you're in "Programming Mode". If not, you need to restart. 8) Press and hold the Lock and Unlock buttons on the remote until the car goes through the lock and unlock cycle again. Once it cycles from unlock to lock and unlock, you're done. Repeat for 2nd or more remotes. 9) Remove the key from ignition, open the door, and then close the door to turn or "Programming Mode".

It does work up to the 2002 Chevrolet models. Anything 2003 and beyond, it will not work and you will need the one that looks like the symbol. Programming was easy. Put your key in, hold the unlock on your drivers, switch the ignition on and off twice with you ketly, let go of the unloc (hear a unlock/lock), hold the unlock and lock on your remote for until you hear the unlock/lock. Test it out remote and you are done.

Extremely easy to set up and program - directions on the Net or on YouTube. Will need time to see how long it will last. Came with the battery so one less thing to do. HINT: If you have a remote already for the vehicle and this is a second or backup - When you program this new one YOU MUST FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS FOR A SECOND FOB. When you program a new one, your current units will not work as the car system changes the signal code from what it was. If you don't follow the directions for a 2nd fob - even though it is working and was programmed - it will no longer work.

Easy to program. Finally nailed it on the 2nd attempt. My first try I didn’t program it as fast as the directions stated. Then 2nd try I was on my game and it works perfect. Great price for a much needed fob. I feel like I’ve time warped back into modern times. Highly recommend:-)

Worked perfectly for my 2002 Chevy Tahoe LT, you should know your receiver number of the anti theft/keyless entry module of your vehicle the last number should be 1 below and the XT is for transmitter and the XR is for receiver. Also super easy to program took about 2 mins. Maybe a little different for your year make and model but should all be very similar to program.

My dad who usually I help with this stuff was able to program it with his friend for his 2003 gmc Sierra (2002 or 2003 I can't remember) so user friendly and works.

Received it promptly and appeared to be decent quality. Attempted to program the key fob according to the instructions on the listing page. Program didn't work. Checked the website listed on the card that came with the key fob. The instructions were no different than on the listing. I contacted the seller by texting the number the provided card. The replied message advised to bring the truck and fob to a lock smith or dealer for programming. This is obviously not ok as the add specifically says self programmable which is the whole reason for the purchase in the first place. All the required numbers matched, didn't matter! 2002 GMC Sierra.
