Very well put together. I use it frequently to identify where a cable is attached to on a switch or router.

I definitely didn't think this was going to work all that well but i took a shot and shockingly its GREAT! I'm a nerd so i was like, feels like magic ha. Anyway, on a serious note, this was very helpful for me as a DIY homeowner trying to figure out why this wire no longer has power and which one it is from my basement run.

Basic pin out tester but not an industry standard certifier. Good for shorter distance and won’t detect a short with the toner section. A cool tool from Klien but more is needed if your looking for a complete wire tester

Easy to use and all you need to test network cables

I have coax wires that were drywalled in and I need to find them. Hooked the tone generator alligator clips to the coax barrel and center wire without them touching and then went around the house with the wand. The wand was able to pickup the tone even though drywall. It's not a strong signal through the wall so you really have to listen for it. But it really does do the job.

This wire tracer kit is okay for basic jobs, but it falls short if you’re doing frequent or more demanding work. The tone generator works, but the signal can be weak over longer distances or in noisy environments, making tracing a bit frustrating at times. The probe is durable, and the built-in light is handy, but the audio volume even at max can be hard to hear in a busy job site. The included accessories (like the alligator clips and RJ45 cable) are nice touches, and the wire mapping feature is a bonus, but overall it feels more like an entry-level tool. Good for occasional home use or small projects, but I’d recommend looking at higher-end kits if you need something more reliable and consistent for professional work.

Invaluable tool for tracing your wired Ethernet connections, especially when electricians don't label their wiring! It's very simple to use too
