The stool is fairly easy to assemble; all the parts required to put it together are provided. You only need an additional star/phillips head screwdriver and punch to fasten the step with tiny screws. The aspen wood is light but sturdy; to preserve the wood I'll probably coat it with a mix of flaxseed oil and beeswax, or apply some laquer. For now, I'll let it bask in its raw form.

Excellent - sturdy and elegant
It is extremely sturdy, and the natural white wood fibre makes it look so elegant, making it match with any home decor surrounding. I am reducing 1 star only because I think I need to buy a glossy polish and make a top coat to make it easy for cleaning) But the matt finish also looks fine otherwise.

Useful step tool
Very handy step tool. Easy to assemble and store. It is sturdy and does not wobble. The finish is also good.

As an Ikea product should be
Easy to assemble. Sturdy and good product especially in the kitchen. Much safer than similar unstable plastic products. Add felt under legs for additional stability.

Excellent but not foldable :(
Good quality, delivered in time, enjoyed assembling it with my son... hence some colored finger prints on the seat... only regret it's not foldable

Good product but needs coat or two of wood clear before use.
The product looks good when assembled. It should support 90 kilos without issues (as proposed to the claimed 100kg) I'm 80 and it already makes a low squeak when I get on top of it. But sturdier than I originally thought. The sturdiness is solely due to the structure and not due to wood quality. In any case, do a clear coat before use to probably get it to last. I really don't think ot will last more than a year in it's original untreated wood from. Recommended but pricey, needs prep work etc. So decide accordingly!

Good but requires technical improvement
This is a useful product and easy to assemble. However, one peg of this item was free and it did not tighten fully. This may compromise the safety. Manufacturers should take care and also suggest to the customers as to in such events, how the problem can be fixed
