SOARRUCY Armadillo Yard Art/Sculpture - Decorative

Exceeded my expectations , this is a beautiful sculpture . Was originally for my garden but decided it was too cool to put outside.

Great size. I have it by my front door and it looks almost real. My dogs are slowly accepting it as a friend not foe. Seems very sturdy and durable. Has done great in the hot Texas sun and the occasional torrential rainstorm. One of my favorite purchases.

Her name is Dillie and she'll soon be at home in our cactus garden. Yes, she's just made from sheet metal but she's so darn cute we just love her. Dillie is nicely made and painted reasonably well so I don't expect rust or weathering to be issues here in the Las Vegas area but in wetter climates an extra coat of clear, sun (UV) resistant lacquer may be advisable. Something like the clear lacquer sold to protect copper from outdoor weathering is a good choice. Otherwise it would be no problem to repaint occasionally as needed.

I bought this armadillo to place in a Texas-themed rock garden by the side of our house. It is so cute that it has been sitting on our dining room table since it arrived. The spring action gives the head and tail a nice bounce. I don't want to put it outside in case it rusts or someone takes it, so instead of yard art it will be house art!
