Tread softly in this sleek and simple two-eye desert boot. Part of our Cruise collection, it's crafted from soft, lightweight Crazy Horse leather with a worn and rugged finish that gives it a perfectly broken-in look and feel from day one. Review: What's not to like? - This is my 5th pair of Dr. Martens shoes in about 17 years. The brand has become my favorite as they are durable, comfortable, and a little off beat looking when worn for business. These are made in China, and while I don't expect them to last as long as my "Made in England" series 1461s (going on 3 years with no appreciable signs of wear), the leather looks nice, and is soft and smooth, they appear to be well made, fit very similarly to my MiE 1461s and let me walk all day without discomfort. I tried on a bunch of similar shoes at similar prices in a shoe store prior to purchasing these, and by far, the Dr. provides a better value and comfort than anything I tried. Review: Incredible Footwear - I've purchased two pairs in the last 4 years. Size 13 fits a little large. I would suggest switching to thicker insoles. The laces will wear out quickly, replace within 4 months. You'll have these shoes for years and years. The brown pair: used as formal, casual. Then, after two years, I used them for every day use... walks, bike rides, skateboarding, hikes, hrough ice melt and mud and around the world. I've even used them as water shoes. Not a single broken or ripped seam. The leather and soles have held up. These are incredibly durable. Now they are four years old, still wearing them for home projects. New black pair: identical fit to the old pair. Easy to wear in. Amazing shoes. Glad I have found incredible casual footwear.

Think a bit different for Chukka boots
Docs run fairly narrow. I have an 8.5-9 EE set of feet, so I order one size up; i.e. US 10. These will run a bit wide and big, but you can shim them out with Dr. Scholls gel inserts. The work style are thicker, and for this shoe which runs a bit larger than some of the 1460 boots I'd recommend the work style gel inserts. For boots that run a bit narrower, use the regular gel inserts not made for work boots. What you get over the competition for this style of boot, is the Air Ware proven insole that does indeed provide more walking comfort, and the superior IMHO rubber outer sole to the crumbly crepe found in the Clarks Desert boots, and others. This means you can indeed wear the Docs in light rain, and not slip all over the place. You give up superior traction in desert sand dunes, where the crepe soles shine, but that's a trade off I'll make every day. They also look nice, but just a bit different from the usual chukka boot to give your wardrobe a bit of style that not every other person has.

A Stylish, Affordable, and Comfortable Boot
I've owned Docs in the past and they were excellent, and the Cabrillo is no exception. Well-constructed and instantly comfortable. And, of course, has that classic style that fits no matter the situation. My only complaint, and it's with all Dr. Martens footwear, is the excessive gap between the heel of the shoe and the Achilles/Ankle area. They always feel just a little loose. My suggestion is to wear thicker socks - that seems to shore it up.

Good Doc's no issues.
I've owned plenty of Doc's and these are the same as the others. They fit well (I wear a size 14 and there's a lot of bad fitting stuff out there, but these fit to size). Otherwise, they are good shoes. I commute via motorcycle everyday and this is hard on shoes. I go through 3-4 pairs of boots a year. These have not worn out yet, but they have held up exceptionally well. They fit, they're comfy, they have held up well. Good shoes.

Shoes So Nice, Bought Them Twice
These fit fine for me, rounded up. I am "technically" a 12.5 on my right and 13 on my left. I ordered a 13 and they fit exactly right. I bought a pair of these a little over a year ago; I am on my feet constantly and they feel great. As I have come to expect, I put a hole in the sole of whatever I'm wearing about one year on. This applies to almost every shoes I've had. These wore out on an expected timeline of one year of constant wear. They are cheap enough that replacing them on this sort of schedule is just fine.

Comfortable
A gift for my husband. He has the oiled brown docs and loves them. I had to get the black so he can wear with darker colors. This style if perfect to wear with jeans. Hits right above the ankle doesn't rub since the opening is a bit wider but not too wide. The heel is not too thick. Easy to maintain with a brush as well as doc martin black wax cleaner. Im sure he'll wear these for a few years since the style is timeless.

Okay shoes that look good.
I'm a fan of mid height shoes and boots. I wore Chucks till my feet said "no", Hi-Tec mid height hiking boots for another decade and then switching to Rockports and low top hikers as an adult. I tend to have one pair of shoes I wear most of the time. I was looking for a ankle high leather shoe and had never had a pair of Docs before so I bought these for the winter. I'm upgrading from a pair of Sketchers Meldens, another comfortable but light shoe pretending to be a boot. These do not have enough substance to be called boots. The sole is soft and flexible, you can feel the shape of rocks or gravel you walk on. The uppers are simple and fairly well constructed. I'm seeing a little more early wear on the heel cup that is a layer of different material sewn on the inside of the heel. The yellow thread of the sewn on soles is fraying a little but still looks okay. The best thing is the leather uppers. I bought these as winter shoes and as such immediately treated them with Sno-Seal. They darkened a bit but still look great. They shrug off snow and water well and clean up acceptably with just a brushing. While they fit as expected they are comfortably snug and warm with a pair of thick socks and casually loose and cool with athletic or dress socks. So far they are living up to my expectations but I'll probably pay more for something with a better more boot like sole next time.

Ampliamente recomendado.

Excellent fit. Wide fitting meant I was able to fit into a 7 where otherwise an 8 is necessary.
