When I was looking for a smartwatch, from my wife for Christmas 2019, I put a lot into researching them. Apple watches were immediately ruled out. Just because. And nothing else really caught my attention. They all seemed a bit meh. I was going to give up, and make my wife's job much harder given how difficult I am to buy for, when I saw the Ticwatch Pro. It was the dual screen which caught my eye. It was like an old 1980's style lcd display which turned into a modern watch face at the flick of the wrist. I had a look through more of the features. Running on the android-compatible WearOS it features a lot of fitness-oriented apps, like heartrate monitor, step counter, breathing monitor, workout monitor, and goals setting and monitoring. In addition, many popular android apps are available, albeit in pared-back format. Like calculator, google maps, weather reports, calendar, email and messaging. Other useful apps functions include the ability to pay for goods and services, ontrol the music on your phone. Even make and receive phone calls. It even tells the time, apparently. I was intrigued.The dual screen setup is designed to save battery power, and it claims to have a pretty good power management system, allowing the watch to run for up to two weeks on a single charge. I had a look on Amazon and found there was a pretty good promotion on at the time. I was happy with my present come Christmas morning. Since then the watch has barely been off my wrist. It is very modern design, without being in-your-face. I chose the stainless steel surround design (there is a black version as well), with a hybrid leather/silicone strap. This makes the strap very durable, as sweat doesn't get at the stitching. It is also very comfortable to wear. Straps are very easy to swap out, and there are a wide range of official and 3rd party straps available. These range from metal, to canvas, to silicone. Battery life is very good. I've found that with the screen brightness set to about halfway, and running the usual fitness apps all the time, I'm getting around 3 days use before needing juiced up again. It takes around an hour or so to charge from dead. I have been pleasantly surprised at the number, and quality, of watchfaces available. Styles are myriad, from old-school digital style to replicas of some of the most expensive watches in the world. Not all are free, but you should find plenty to meet your needs. I even found one for my beloved Arsenal FC (at a price). There was a time, after getting a new phone, where I couldn't reconnect it to my Google account. But Mobvoi (the manufacturer) worked tirelessly with me to sort the issue out. I've been using the watch for 9 months now and I can still say there is not another watch on the market which would cause me to give up my Ticwatch Pro. It really is THAT good.

I've had this for a few months now and held back on reviewing so I could get a good feel for it - my conclusion is that this is a great smartwatch with so many features, and excellent integrated Google app support. My main use case for buying a smartwatch was to buy a fitness tracker with extras, and this fits that spec close to perfectly. My previous watch was a Fitbit, however like the majority of runners out there I use Strava so it was a must-have to support a good smartwatch app to track my runs. The Ticwatch satisfied that need with built-in GPS and a fast sync of my runs to the Strava app on my phone. Outside of that Mobvoi's own exercise app is very good too for tracking other activities, or you can use Google Fit. I had been a bit hesistant about buying the watch originally because of some reviews over the battery life. As the manufacturer recommends, you do need to give it time for the battery to get used to your usage habits. Personally the watch is in highest use when I am doing exercise, and during the day I don't really pay attention to it that much aside to check notifications. After about a month I got a good sense of the battery life, and off the top of my head from a full charge I would say that you can get a day to a day and a half on low usage (there is also the low energy mode you can use that lasts a month apparently, but I don't use this as I like to track my sleep and that is disabled in low energy mode). If like me you are going to take it on mid to long range runs, an hour long run took 40% off the battery - this included listening to music via bluetooth the entire time. If you want to make the watch last longer my advice to anyone - as with a smartphone - is make sure you turn off location and bluetooth when you are not using it, and put it in flight mode while you sleep. Google app integration is excellent. Play store is there for access to Android wear apps, Google Pay is enabled with built-in NFC, and even Translate is on there by default. I am very Google centric and have a chromecast at home, and I used my smartwatch as a remote control when I cast to my television, which is a nice-to-have but very cool functionality. Music wise it is worth pointing out that offline listening is not the easiest thing to set up. As far as I know, Spotify does not have an offline functionality for you to pair and download songs to the device and can only be used a control when you play music on your smartphone. There is a workaround for those who make it down to this part of the review - download NavMusic, which allows you to download music offline on to the watch. You take out a free trial, and then a month later it will prompt you to buy the app; not an issue as it costs under £1 on Play store. Overall, a terrific watch for the price with an amazing array of features.

I have always been sceptical about smartwatches. Worried about battery life, small screen, clunky and unstylish. Curiosity got the better of me and I decided to give one a go. Reading reviews, I wanted a model with Google Pay and 1Gb of memory running Wear OS. The Ticwatch Pro 2020 fitted the bill. I was able to pick one up from Amazon Warehouse in the BF deals for a reasonable price. The watch arrived in pristine condition. The most difficult thing in setup was trying to decide which watchface to use. Having selected my favourite, I setup Google pay and my fitness data. I decided against using the 2nd display and set the watchface to be always on. Battery life has amounted to 2.5 days using the watchface always on, pretty good. Google pay worked without a hitch. The fitness information is basic but accurate. It's been useful reading texts and notifications on my wrist rather than having to reach for the phone. Overall, battery life and functionality has been impressive and I haven't experienced any lags or other software difficulties. Style wise, this is a big watch. Thicker and chunkier than most people would be comfortable with. I can live with it for the moment but to my mind, it looks unstylish and slightly tacky. However, the same appears to apply to Apple, Samsung and most other smartwatches. There are some exceptions from Skagen / Fossil but they tend to compromise in some way (memory, battery life, screen size). I am no longer sceptical. I can see the attraction of a good smartwatch and the Ticwatch Pro 2020 is a good smartwatch. I will continue to use it on a daily basis until I can find something as functional with more style at a reasonable price. UPDATE: A week in and I have a huge allergic reaction to the strap. My entire wrist is red raw and weeping. Never had a previous problem with leather straps and so assume it is the plastic element of the strap. Luckily, was planning to replace with a stainless steel version anyway.

Got my watch on Friday and still getting to grips with it and the apps. I was impressed by the packaging and the watch looks great. Also loved the welcome email i received from the manufacturer which was a good touch. Dispite going for the rugged look, it fits well and doesn't feel heavy on the wrist. Some people seem put out by the lag (from wrist movement untill the watch interface comes into life) but this is a mear fraction of second delay. Touch screen Interface and operational support (side buttons) are easy and straight forward to use. Mistakenly decided to install too many apps and having issues trying to uninstall you tube video player from the watch. Trying to avoid resetting to factory setting to remove it but not a real issue. Now deleted since writing this review. Haven't tried all the apps but did install Tic night app and amazed at how this logs your sleeping pattern. Step counter and Google fit seem to be good and setting up of other Google apps are easy to install and navigate through the watch. Battery seemed to use a little more power than expected, but it does state the watch will settle down in about a week or so after setup. Yesterday the watch was on 63% before going to bed and this morning it was on 42% so not bad going as i was monitoring my sleep via the Tic night app from 10 till 6. I haven't tried to see how the water resistant holds up in the shower but will feed back on that one in due course, once I brave it. Overall, i am impressed and this seem the better choice over the Samsung galaxy watch (the competition), but glad I went with my ticwatch pro 2020. I have just ordered the wireless headphones from the manufacturer website as they have an offer on the Tic free wireless headphones. Looking to get them setup once they arrive. Think I would like to try the 4g LTE version as I like to get away from the mobile being at my side so maybe this will me my update in due course. If you are considering a smart watch, i would highly recommend trying out the Tic smart watches over the more expensive and branded versions. Thanks all

I don't normally do reviews but given that it took me so long to finally decide on this Smartwatch I thought it worth while sharing my experience. First I bought the Fossil gen 5 which is a good smart watch but the battery life is appalling and as I work 12 hour shifts I wanted something that would last the day it also looked a bit too small on my wrist, and I wanted something a bit bigger and more eyecatching. Then I tried the Huawei watch GT2 as I have a Huawei phone and it synced perfectly, the size and look of the watch was perfect and it is a great fitness and health tracker, but I wanted all of the Smartwatch features such as calendar individual notifications and third party apps. The Huawei was just too limited in this respect. I sent the Huawei back and thought long and hard about the ticwatch pro 2020 because it was more expensive and it is a make I have never heard of but given Mobvoi is supported by Google I thought it was worth a go and I am not disappointed. The size and weight take a bit of getting used to, I wanted something chunky and this is probably a bit too chunky compared to others but that is the compromise for me given all of the features are exactly what I wanted. It takes a bit of setting up and the battery runs down quickly for the first couple of days but once everything is synced and updated the battery settles down and lasts well. Tic sleep is probably the best sleep tracker I have tried for level of detail, the heart rate monitor seems a bit erratic and registers high even when resting before correcting itself which throws out the average heart rate for the day. However there is still Google fit heart rate monitor to fall back on so not a major issue. It took a while for the calendar to sync but now it works seemlessly and I can see all my meetings as well as notifications which I can customize without getting my phone out. There are a limited amount of watch faces to choose from compared to other brands but plenty of third party ones available as well. As a fitness tracker the step count is very accurate and there are loads of different activity trackers on Google fit. The dual layer Amoled screen is a great feature as I can always see the time without switching to the main screen which no doubt will help the battery life. Overall this is a great Smartwatch, It looks great and is highly recommended, there are always compromises to be had and this is packed with great Smartwatch features which makes the size and weight not so much of an issue and it beats alot of the better known brands hands down.

I got my watch less than 10 days ago. That's how long it has lasted. This morning the heart rate was off but it seemed to have righted itself. Later it wouldn't send w.orkout info to phone and heart rate lights were off. Several attempts at restarting and switching off produced wavering lights and a high temperature. I had to take it off my wrist it was burning. It's going back. Pity I liked the design. Proper watch, not like those flimsy plasticy things seen around

Bought to use as both a fitness tracker and Android Wear smart watch. At the £130ish price point I find it hard to fault for my uses. Chunky in shape but not overly so, it looks like the quality fitness watch it is. Easy to change up styles with 22mm quick change bands, however the one supplied is smart enough (perhaps too smart for fitness use, I use a third party resin strap when exercising instead). Android Wear OS works well, if a bit fiddly when getting mp3s working locally with a music player. GPS seems accurate. Google Assistant built in, with mic and speaker. The main con for me is battery life. Approx 2 days of mild use is decent enough for notifications and general Google fit health and activity tracking. However, it may struggle to get you through a 10k+ run or long walk with Strava using GPS and music player connected to bluetooth, unless you're fully charged and turn off all the other apps and features. If you want to try out an Android Wear smartwatch this is a great place to start, although other options may be better if you're a fitness buff seeking a device for tracking long runs and playing your tunes.

I got this for an everyday watch and occasional sport use. I've used xiaomi products in the past and wanted an android wear one. It wasjust too bulky for me, and each press on the screen showed a definate lag. Battery life was the usual one day, but nowhere near the month I would get from my xiaomi On the good side, looks good and second screen is good. Unfortunately, returned

Très bon rapport qualité /prix. Beaucoup de fonctionnalités, l'usage est fluide et intuitif. La finition est très bonne avec un bracelet en cuir qui est très confortable. Le seul bémol c est la durée de la batrie mais j'imagine que c'est en fonction de l'usage qu'on en fait.

Confesso di essere un amante di orologi, sia analogici che digitali, questi ultimi da quando mi è stato regalato, parecchi anni fa un bellissimo e ancora perfettamente funzionante “LG G Watch R”, penso fosse il primo con lo schermo “circolare” e da quel momento ho iniziato ad apprezzarli sempre di più. Attualmente, oltre al primissimo LG ho un TicWatch E1, un MontBlanc Summit ed un Tag Heuer Modular 45 in titanio (che reputo uno tra i migliori e purtroppo costosi smartwatch al mondo). Lo scorso anno ho regalato ad un amico la versione precedente di questo “PRO” e sono rimasto colpito dalla qualità trasmessa, dal doppio display e dall’ottima autonomia, solo che avendone già tanti altri mi sono sempre detto “non ti serve, lascia stare, ecc…”, solo che quando ho visto che MobVoi ha presentato la versione 2020 la scimmia ha iniziato a farsi sentire ed alla fine ho deciso di farmi anche questo regalo. Le motivazioni che mi hanno spinto ad acquistarlo non risiedono tanto nella necessità di averne uno, quanto nella voglia di provare qualcosa di nuovo e conoscendo bene il marchio mobvoi (ho comunque un modello base e le fantastiche cuffie ticpods 2) sono andato a colpo sicuro! A differenza dei detrattori di Wear OS, ritengo che google abbia raggiunto un ottimo livello, sia in termini di usabilità sia in termini di applicazioni ed il fatto di avere su tutti gli smartwatch lo stesso sistema operativo lo trovo particolarmente comodo, in questo modo mi ritrovo su tutti gli orologi le stesse cose, le stesse applicazioni e lo stesso modo di funzionare, senza contare che non devo installare altre applicazioni, visto che basta quella standard di Google Wear OS. A parte questa, spero utile premessa, parto con la recensione di questo nuovo modello. La confezione è ben realizzata, anzi a dire il vero ogni prodotto mobvoi viene venduto con una confezione ben studiata (anche per il modello E1) e molto bella visivamente. La scatola, di colore nero, contiene al suo interno lo smartwatch, il cavo di alimentazione con aggancio magnetico (manca anche qui l’alimentatore) ed un piccolo manuale di istruzioni (anche in italiano) La qualità dello smartwatch è notevole, partendo dal cinturino in “EcoPelle” per il lato esterno e gomma per lato interno, così da evitare le classiche sudate durante il periodo estivo. L’insieme è molto gradevole e sembra decisamente resistente, anche se forse avrei preferito un meccanismo di chiusura più evoluto in luogo della classica fibbia. Va detto che comunque è possibile sostituire il cinturino con altri modelli compatibili e risolvere il problema con pochi euro in più. Proseguendo, balza subito all’occhio lo schermo, decisamente grande e ben leggibile, anche in condizioni di luce intensa. La particolarità di questo modello è la presenza di due display sovrapposti, uno AMOLED a colori ed uno LCD il tutto protetto da un vetro con trattamento antigraffio Gorilla 3 (simile a quello che si trova sugli smartphone), sicuramente non paragonabile al vetro zaffiro utilizzato sui modelli di fascia alta ma comunque in grado di assicurare una buona protezione. La dimensione è paragonabile (come si può vedere dalle fotografie) al 46mm del Mont Blanc ed ai 45mm del Tag Heuer Modular 45 ed è sicuramente indicato per chi ama orologi grandi. Quando l’orologio non è utilizzato, il sistema disattiva lo schermo a colori ed attiva la versione LCD monocromatica che visualizza l’ora, la data, il numero di passi e lo stato della batteria, consumando però pochissima energia a tutto vantaggio della durata della batteria. Va detto che il display LCD monocromatico è invisibile quando si è al buio mentre è leggibilissimo in presenza di luce. Comunque questo non è un problema, basta muovere il braccio o toccare il display per riattivare subito la retroilluminazione del display principale. Il display AMOLED è veramente impressionante, sia per la qualità dei colori che per il contrasto, senza trascurare la risoluzione molto alta che consente di rappresentare quadranti “quasi reali”. La scelta del quadrante da visualizzare può essere fatta direttamente dall’orologio (o anche dallo smartphone tramite l’applicazione Wear OS) selezionandolo tra uno dei tanti proposti da MobVoi o in alternativa installando applicazioni di terze parti, anche gratuite, in grado di simulare praticamente qualsiasi tipo di orologio esistente al mondo, penso che Wear OS ad oggi offra il maggior numero di sfondi o applicazioni al mondo. L’orologio presenta due pulsanti sul lato sinistro, il primo richiama il menu (o attiva l’assistenza vocale con una pressione prolungata) mentre il secondo può essere configurato per attivare una delle tante applicazioni installate. Nel mio caso ho configurato il richiamo del cronografo ed in questo caso il pulsante funge anche da start/stop del cronometro. Per quanto riguarda le altre caratteristiche hardware, questo smartwatch integra in particolare: 1) un sensore per la lettura del battito cardiaco (anche continuo) e tramite l’app Tic Salute o TicBattito è possibile monitorare i battiti e le anomalie H24, evidenziandole in appositi riquadri. 2) Sensore NFC utilizzabile con GooglePay per pagare con carta di credito direttamente dallo smartwatch (veramente comodo) 3) Sensore GPS (per tutte le applicazioni che lo richiedono) compatibile con GPS, GLONASS, Beidou e Galileo Oltre a questi c’è il contapassi e contacalorie, Accelerometro, giroscopio, sensore luce, ecc.. Gli argomenti “Batteria” e “Durata” sono difficili da definire perché troppo influenzati dalla tipologia di utilizzo. Giusto per fare un confronto, giocando intensamente con questo TicWatch per oltre 4 ore, la batteria è scesa del 20%; lo stesso uso fatto sul Mont Blanc ha richiesto oltre il 35%. Certo questo non vuole essere un test rigoroso, ma dovrebbe dare l’idea del bassissimo consumo del display LCD monocromatico. L’aspetto software è praticamente identico a tutti gli altri smartwatch con lo stesso sistema operativo e questo lo trovo fantastico, il mondo delle app sviluppate per il mondo Google Wear è praticamente infinito… si trova di tutto, personalmente ho installato su tutti i mie smartwatch Spotify (cosi da poter comandare la musica direttamente dall’orologio), Whatsapp, SkiTrack e tanti altri… Va sottolineato che questo modello presenta ben 1GB di memoria RAM (quella utilizzata per far girare i programmi) ed in effetti si sente la presenza, i programmi funzionano più velocemente rispetto ad altri smartwatch che invece hanno 512MB di memoria. In definitiva, pur avendo smartwatch di fascia un tantino più alta (e anche più bassa) penso che questo non sfiguri assolutamente, anzi considerando le caratteristiche e la cura con cui è stato realizzato lo ritengo un grande prodotto, con tante funzionalità e venduto al giusto prezzo. Lo primero destacar que en esta ocasión Amazon me falló. Después de esperar a una buena oferta del reloj, una vez hice el pedido el servicio de transporte perdió mi paquete. Después de varios días esperando el pedido no llegó, y Amazon finalmente lo dio por perdido haciendo un reembolso por el importe de la compra. No tuve la oportunidad de volver a hacer el pedido con el mismo precio, así que conseguí un muy buen precio en la tienda oficial de Mobvoi. Una vez explicado, la experiencia con el reloj es realmente buena: todas las aplicaciones funcionan de manera fluida, sin ningún tipo de LAG. A pesar de no equipar un procesador de última generación, no se echa de menos rapidez en la ejecución de procesos más allá que en el arranque o la instalación de apps. No ha habido ningún problema en la sincronización del reloj, todas las notificaciones llegan sin problema y la precisión y rapidez de conexión del GPS están a la altura de lo esperado. En mi opinión la aplicación TIC exercise cumple bastante bien, aunque el hecho de no poder exportar a .gpx o .tcx los entrenamientos hace en mi caso que la descarte. Yo uso Endomondo desde hace años, y tampoco permite enlazar los entrenamientos con este servicio...una auténtica pena! Por qué TIC exercise es la que mejor aprovecha las características del reloj. El tema de la doble pantalla me parece una solución excelente!!! Es súper útil poder consultar la hora en cualquier momento sin activar la pantalla con el consiguiente ahorro de batería. La LCD se ve estupenda con casi cualquier luz, incluso bajo el agua!!! Sobre el consumo de batería estoy ligeramente decepcionado: si bien al principio conseguía 4 días de autonomía, últimamente me cuesta pasar de los dos días. Aún así, no me parece un gran problema: la carga se hace bastante rápido... Así que sin duda, me parece que no hay mejor opción para un smartwatch con Wear OS, permitiendo disfrutar de todas sus aplicaciones, como Google Pay.
