Good book, easy to read, finished it in two days.2. Why wasn't the age difference between the main characters rainer and paige a bigger issue?3. The ending could have been better, I felt so lost (not because I didn't understand it) but after pages upon pages of paige being so conflicted about her choice she ended up picking a guy on a whim? Pity maybe Idk I was annoyed by that.4. Paige getting this role for locked turned into boy drama instead of her achievements and future as an actress. I only knew about it because I discovered the television show first. While the story is well told and fairly captivating, it doesn't match the show in several pretty significant ways. I will leave that to the reader to discover should they choose to contrast and compare. Overall, I found myself pretty enthralled. The main character drew me in. I enjoyed experiencing newfound fame along with Paige.At first I didn't know whether I would stick with the story since I discovered that the setting and other key points didn't match the show, but I hung in there. I am glad I did. Underlying the obvious love triangle is an element of human compassion that you feel as the story develops. I liked that there was something in this book that I could think about and ponder a bit. While entertaining, it also made me consider things in my life that I hadn't wanted to mull over. Although it's absolutely nothing like the TV series, which is the only reason I bought it in the first place. In fact, practically the only thing the book and movie share are the characters' names. The book also drags in some places, and even became a chore to read at those parts. It really felt like Paige accomplished nothing at all through the entire book, even though that isn't actually true. The worst part, though, in my opinion, was who she chose in the end. No spoilers, but it wasn't great.As far as quality goes, I got the paperback edition and it arrived looking about as perfect as a paperback book can look. The cover was flawless, and the pages were perfect. The book has about 320 pages, not including acknowledgements and the sneak peek at the second book.I know my review is more negative than positive, but the book is actually pretty good, for the most part, which is why I gave it four stars. In fact, the first half-to-three-quarters of the book was a very enjoyable read!
