Saved my dishwasher!
I bought this to repair the exposed and rusty tines on my dishwasher racks, which had permanently stained my dishes. There were also a few places on the rack frames that were exposed and rusted, too. I bought the kit that had 25 tips and a bottle of liquid about the size of a bottle of nail polish. I had to spend a good amount of time cleaning up the damaged areas with a Dremmel tool, and many of the tines had damage below the area the tip would cover. I half expected the tips on these to come off the first time running the machine after the repair. The instructions recommended covering the bottle while using the brush, so I wore a nitrite glove and kept my thumb over the opening while I was painting on the product and fitting the tips. The product does dry fast but not too fast to get the tips in place. After everything was covered I went back and painted some product at the base of each tip and applied a second coat to everything. Twice during the application I added a couple of drops of nail polish remover with acetone to the bottle to thin the product. I let this cure for a day then ran the machine. Everything held fast and it looks almost new! I thought the product was too expensive for what it was, but it is much cheaper than new racks or a new dishwasher, so I can't complain. There was even a little bit of leftover liquid. Even though my racks are white, only the light gray was available when I ordered so I went with that. It is extremely light and the repaired areas are almost unnoticeable. Since using this product I have run the machine a couple dozen times and it still looks great and the repairs are holding up well. I am extremely happy with this purchase. I would buy it again and recommend it to others. Edit 11/6/2023-after 9 months of use (4 loads per week) the caps on the tines are holding up really well. I applied some of the paint to other areas of the basket frame that were rusting and these repairs have not held up well at all. I reapplied once and it didn't take long for rust to break through again. It could be that the paint is not meant to be used alone. If you just have tines that need to be recovered I would still highly recommend this as a fix.

Holding up well after a year, bottle still liquid for another application.
Bought this a year ago after I noticed a big rust spot on the bottom of one of the tines in the dishwasher. Picked off the loose pieces of coating around it, wiped it off with a paper towel and gave it two coats. Checked on it today and still holding up fine. Had a few tines where there was rust on the end, used the end caps, one of them fell off in the last year but the others are holding up. The bottle is still liquid so touched up some new spots. Giving it 5 stars since it seems to be doing its job well and it's still liquid after a year so I can get another application. Hopefully will be liquid a few years more so I can keep getting more value out of this bottle. Color match of the goop is fine but the color of the tines is noticeably different, don't care - it's a dishwasher and it's getting the work done.

Good product
Seems to have worked very well. The only reason for not having 5 stars is just that it's only been 1 month since the fix.

Works great, easy to use
Product worked perfectly, no issues. I clipped off the loose plastic, sanded the rust and put two coats on 3 different spots on my racks. It dries quickly, which is great because your dishwasher isn’t out of commission for days. Keep your thumb over the bottle opening while brushing it on or use nail polish thinner to keep it from getting thick and gloppy. If you let your dishwasher go for two long and have lots of rust, you will need several bottles. These have small amounts for dishwasher maintenance, not major repairs. The color doesn’t match perfectly, but neither did the rust. I would definitely purchase again.

Great product that saved my dishwasher rack!
Great product! I have a small counter dishwasher. They don’t make new racks, so I salvaged my current rack with rust! I’m very happy with the results. Also put the rubber nipples over the rack ends to protect the rack. Easy product to use. Hopefully it lasts along time.

Does what we needed, so far! Cheap and effective? Well see
Super easy to use and seems to do the trick. The vinyl covered by this product cracked and the metal underneath began to rust, so I’m hopeful this slows the process of degradation and gets buys us some time. The color makes it quite clear we’ve done repairs (no match), but that hardly matters if it buys us some time to replace the racks with stainless counterparts. The silicone pegs fit perfectly and, for the price we paid, these seem to be a great value. I’ll check in in a couple months if they don’t hold up to the dishwashing process itself.

Not a perfect color match, but seemed to do the job
Whirlpool dishwasher rack showing obvious signs of corrosion (after only 1 year), as if they didn't completely coat the steel rack with protective vinyl at the factory. This product seemed to work well for the repair of that damage. USE NOTES: I was pretty diligent about removing heavily corroded prongs with cutting wheel on my grinder before applying this product; also applies more than 1 coat. You may need to trim the caps to appropriate length with a scissors. PROS Functional fix to annoying corrosion issues. CONS Wish it came in better color-match to original vinyl coating, but what the heck, it's inside the dishwasher and nobody is gonna notice anyways.

It goops and coats as advertised.
Time will tell if this product deserves a 1 star or possibly a 4 star review. You don't get a lot of product for the price unfortunately. It's basically a bottle the size of nail polish. Yes, the lid does have a brush attached so you use that to coat the product on. It goes quickly so if your dishwasher had most of the tines rusting you'll go through it quickly especially if you plan on doing 2 coats. It does dry quick. I'm hoping it will last and stay in place once I run the dishwasher over months and years. The 25 caps would be great IF the tines that I wanted to put them on had stayed the same thin size as originally made. Unfortunately, most of the tines that I wanted to use the caps on had deteriorated and expanded so I wasn't able to use the caps. Plus, if you're using the product to " glue " them on then you're really going to run out of product quickly. Overall, I'm glad I used this product and hopefully it will help extend the life of the racks. I do think it's a bit expensive for what you get. Last little tid bit, good luck just " cutting " the ends of the tines off. I tried wire cutters and a dremmel tool but that wire in the middle of the tine is a tough match to get off easily. I'm sure there's an easier way but I found it difficult.
