I think it will work great for what I am using it for. The lock is easy to set to the number you want for a code. The swivel on the lock end will make it easy to install in any position. Quality lock

No one has attempted to steal my kayaks - best I can tell - so the cable lock must be working. Right? The protective covering on the cable and the thin lock make it a great option for locking the boats to my truck as well as to a tree at a recovery site.

Initially bought a different style lock that didn’t work well and was quite annoying to use. This lock works MUCH better. It’s thin enough to fit through the drain holes on our Pelican kayaks which is exactly what we were looking for. Given that it’s thin by design, I would say the side effect to that is durability. Not sure it would be all that difficult to break into if someone really wanted to, but if you just need an easy to use lock this is the one. Code for the combination can be changed to whatever number you’d like as well.

Great item! I bought this to lock up some flexiscreens for the office so that they "wouldn't grow legs and walk off" as things tend to do. The numbers/combinations are easy to turn and the lock is easy to insert and remove when needed. It's a long chain but perfect for what we needed

This bike lock is a great lightweight option for deterring theft. I secure 4 kayaks with this. Haven't lost a kayak yet! Good quality, hasn't rusted. I'll update if I have any issues.

This works great it’s been coiled up and locked in the bed of my truck. I use it when I have bikes or mowers in the bed. The best part is that when I uncoil it it wants to be straight- no wrestling with a cable that wants to be coiled!

I bought the 25 ft version to go through 3 kayaks, SUP and rack, plus an occasional boat for visitors. We definitely prefer this “straight” cable over the “coiled” version for this situation. The straight cable is much easier to pull through multiple obstacles as it doesn’t try to coil up and cause additional friction. The coiled version may be better for travel/packing, but more stubborn for pushing through small openings as the male end wants to curl rather than remain straight. Highly recommended!

Straightforward advice and easy to use

I bought this item because the DocksLocks cable with a lock and key closure corroded over winter, despite being in a dry shed and was completely seized up. Hopefully this will not happen with the combination lock variant.

Nice little lock I use for my motorbike helmet/gear and that stays on the rack at all times. Hasn't rusted or anything so far
