Review: Best popcorn salt for movie theater popcorn - Expiration date was in 2026, so it will be good for a long time. I bought the 3 pack. I also bought a dredger with small (fine) openings on top, but the salt still came out too fast. I will probably look for a shaker with a lid and a fine mesh screen. I did not think the salt would be so ultra fine. It really makes great stovetop popcorn taste great. You don't even need popcorn flavoring. This butter tasting salt is what movie theaters use. Use coconut oil to pop the corn on the stovetop. Too much heat gives you underpopped popcorn with small pieces and chunks of kernel. Find the "sweet spot" on your stove burner. Gold Medal makes the Flavacol so it has to be good.

**Q: Can you use it in an air popcorn popper that doesn't use oil?**
A: Absolutely not.  You can put into a salt shaker and and sprinkle on popcorn in bowl.  Don’t put anything in a air popper except corn.

**Q: Can you sprinkle it in microwave popcorn after popping? Or do you have to add it to the oil for “Homemade” popcorn?**
A: You could add it after popping, it is very concentrated, too much will be way too salty. We use a silicon microwave popper. Put about 1 tablespoon oil 

in the bottom of the popper, add 1/2 teaspoon powder to the oil, stir. Add the popcorn kernals and give it another stir to coat the kernals. Use Amish Country Popcorn | 6 lb Bag | Mushroom Popcorn Kernels | Old Fashioned from Berne Indiana for the best popcorn you have ever had.

**Q: Is this vegan safe?**
A: I would think so since it’s butter flavored salt

**Q: does this come with the butter oil?**
A: Nope, We just use this in our stir popcorn popper with roughly the recommended rates of 1/2 cup kernels, 1 Tablespoon oil and 1/2 tablespoon flavacol then flip switch to let pop, but can adjust to taste. We like olive oil in ours but others like canola and peanut work too
