I purchased two hand towels to try them. They are purest white, great waffle weave cotton fabric, attractive and very efficient as a hand towel vs terry towels which are thick and often not great at absorbency. The hand towels are great as hand towels or kitchen towels in a pinch, and would probably be great to dry off small and medium sized dogs! The absorbency is quick and thorough and gets the job done very well. So a great towel in a lot of ways and great looking but not lush like the usual bath towels. Very efficient dryers and absorbers. A++++++

I've tried a lot of towels (various Restoration Hardware, Coyuchi, multiple Turkish towels, Macy's Hotel line, Matouk) and I love these towels. I actually returned the hand towels for Coyuchi hand towels (the Coyuchi hand towels are crazy long), but I came back and bought Gilden Tree bath towels and wash cloths for myself, and plan to buy more. I love how lightweight, absorbent, soft and FAST drying these towels are. I liked these so much I also bought a TON of wash cloths (and two oversize waffle throw blankets) for our vacation rental cottages in the Caribbean. The material is perfect for island living--air dry so fast and they're super sturdy, they wash well (no wrinkles), and I'm expecting they'll last a long time (and we do a LOT of laundry). The wash cloth size post-wash is also nice--larger than other wash cloths I tried. I would've loved to have replaced all of our island cottage towels with Gilden Tree, but the bath towels were a little too expensive for turnover/stains and damage VRBO/Airbnb rentals put towels through. (We ended up with $15 Turkish towels for beach and bath towels, which I don't like as much as Gilden Tree, but less heart-wrenching to regularly replace.)

I inherited a set of towels from my mother; I loved their absorbency and thin thickness as hand towels. They dry very fast. When one developed a hole from much use, I looked up the label on Amazon and found that they are still being sold. The new set has the same quality as the much-loved old towels. Yes, they are expensive, but I am so happy they are still available and have the same old-fashioned cotton quality. I know they will last a long time! The color is pretty, and the quality of towel seems fine. It's absorbent, and looks good after washing and drying. The only issue is the size. This town is huge. It's the size of a small bath towel almost, much larger than any kitchen towel I've ever had. I've considered cutting it in in half and turning it into two towels. The size makes it harder to store and use, it's not what I would call a feature.

New, they're very flat and coarse - kinda like a waffle towel that's been run over by a paving roller. After several washes, they've shrunk a little in size, but the waffle pattern has become thicker. They absorb well and dry OK. However, in spite of repeated cycles through the washer and dryer (12+) , they're still coarse feeling. OK, but not great. I think there are better options out there...

These towels perform beautifully. They are: 1) lightweight 2) perfect sizing 3) easy to wash and quick to dry, and also can wash with lighter weight items. If everyone bought these towels they would save money on the gas or electricity because they dry as quick as T-shirts (Lightweight T's) You can keep your heavy, extra large, towels for decoration only, and use these for showers or baths, and personally I love the way they look new, neat, and decorative by combining various colors. For my grandchildren, they grab a ckeab towl of their own and it drys just hanging for their next bath. If only other people would just give theum a try. Elderly people have a problem with the heavier (most common) types of towels, especially when they get wet.

These are awesome. The color holds up after washing and they're perfect as a hand towel.

These waffle towels are luxurious and just keep getting better with each wash! Lovely to wrap up in the bath sheets which are very generous and completely cover you. I would love to see more colors. Great customer service! No lint or pilling when washed. I have a pair of bath sheets that are over 10 years old and still going strong.
